Last September the much-beloved music video series Pop Up Video returned to VH-1 after a long hiatus away and next week, the show is BACK for season 2. As you can see above, Gotye‘s ridiculously infectious (and seemingly inescapable) hit Somebody That I Used To Know is among the new videos to get the Pop Up treatment. As a long-time fan of Pop Up Video, I am VERY excited that the show is back for season 2. In addition to Gotye, I imagine videos by Justin Bieber, Carly Rae Jepsen, Nicki Minaj and more will get popped in season 2. Which videos would YOU like to see on the show this season?
OMG, I love me some pop up video! It’s so addictive. Those little pop-ups are so damn snarky! I love when they do any rapper’s video. Like if they do Rick Ross’s vids and tell us which maybachs are his and which one are rentals– love getting that info :)
I watched a lot of episodes last season, and I noticed that most of the videos they did were either older vids or people no one had hard of. I hope to see more current, mainstream vids this season.
@Liz — Well, it’s understandable about the older videos … there have been a LOT of great videos in the years that Pop Up Video was off the air. They had a lot of catching up to do.
