Ok, it’s not really “madness” that Alicia Keys cut off her hair. Especially since she still looks all kinds of amazing. Still, I’m one of those people who has always secretly (and not-so-secretly) obsessed over the beautiful locks of Alicia; especially back in the day. Throwback Alicia? I Keep On Fallin Alicia? Oh my god, my poor friend in high school was forced to braid my hair like that every month. And now, all we have are the memories. Sigh. Check out the new ‘do inside, and mourn with me over the great loss that is Alicia Keys‘s hair.

So yeah. She looks awesome. Even a little Victoria Beckham-ish in the orange shirt, no? I guess I’m okay with the new look. Anyway, it’s been forever since she had that awesome half braided/half curly hair out look anyway so I suppose I was just being hella nostalgic.
What do you guys think of the cut? You likey? Anybody care to speculate as to why Mrs. Swizz Beatz chose to cut her hair at this particular time? Indeed, it’s a “new day” (the name of her recently released new single) but sometimes when a lady cuts her hair it’s about something more than wanting a change of appearance… I know, I’m fishing for something over here, lol :)

a part of me likes it, but i think a bigger part of me dislikes it.
I love it though my favourite hair was the one she had in secret life of bees (which is a fantastic movie) I loved the mini fro.
I like it! It’s a classic, fresh bob. She can always add extensions if she wants to go long again. She can afford good ones and there are clip ones these days that are as good as the weaves in quality. She’s a bombshell no matter how you look at it. ;)

Tho I went back thru the link and listened to her new single and, well, BLAH. A bit of a disappointment that’s for sure. Not only that but to me something about her vocal on it confirms that indeed she is the one singing (at least the chorus) on Whitney’s “Million Dollar Bill”.
