Last month we learned that Lindsay Lohan has signed on to star in the new Bret Easton Ellis film The Canyons as a porn star. As you may recall, it was reported that Lindsay will have to go full frontal for the role. Today we get our first look at Lindsay on the set of The Canyons as she begins principal filming. Unsurprisingly, this first look at Lindsay on set shows her in bed with her co-star and real life porn star James Dean. Clearly, Lindsay is hard at work and very serious about this new role. Now that she has wrapped on Liz & Dick for Lifetime, she can devote all of her time, energy and hard work to The Canyons. As marginally interesting as these photos of Lindsay on set are, I am far more taken with this photo of actor Nolan Funk on set:

It stands to reason that a film that will feature Lindsay Lohan as a full frontally nude porn star will likely also feature male counterparts in various states of undress … the photo above of Mr. Funk seems to make that reasonable assumption a verity. I can’t say with any honesty that I am really all interested in watching Lindsay appear in a film as a porn star but I’d be lying if I didn’t admit that I’m intrigued. I’ll keep my eye on production of this film. For the sake of Lindsay‘s career, hopefully something of serious interest will develop?

she’s not playing a porn star. her character is an ex-model. the movie has nothing to do with porn or porn stars.
Except that porn stars are IN the movie, and they are required to simulate realistic sex acts in group settings (see the demonstration of a “4 way” above).
no, one porn star is in the movie and he’s doing a mainstream movie but the movie still has nothing to do with porn. a lot of commercial movies have sex scene. don’t know why people act as if this is the first that’s ever done a sex scene.
I’m hardly suggesting that it is the first movie that has a sex scene. If you have to exaggerate to that extent to make a point, then maybe you don’t have a point.
It’s soft core. Just accept it.
I’ll pass. I will watch the Lifetime movie because I already pay for the channel but no way in hell am I paying for this crap (unless to see the naked mens:))

I know that James Deen is a fave of teenagers and some (I believe) matured women. A porn star is definitely adept in dirty, immoral or normal sexual acts. But we are yet to find out if he’s good at acting. Life is not merely sex, sex and sex! Real men have more challenges than porn stars. I believe not a single porn star would ever qualified to be a real man cuz they say porn reduces the mind and degrades the self. Real man need brain!
