‘Rolling Stone’ Magazine Declares That Justin Bieber Is ‘Hot, Legal, Ready’

Justin Bieber is featured on the cover of the new issue of Rolling Stone magazine for the second time in 2 years. When last The Biebs graced the cover of RS mag, it was February 2011 and he was just a boy. This week, JB is featured on the cover as a man under the heading HOT LEGAL READY … or some such ridiculousness. Click below to get your first look at Justin Bieber’s new Rolling Stone coverphoto, read some highlights from the issue and check out behind the scenes video from his RS photoshoot.

Justin Bieber appears on the cover of Rolling Stone for the second time in the issue that hits newsstands this Friday, July 20th. The cover story, written by Josh Eells, shadows the teen sensation for a week as he battles paparazzi at a Los Angeles golf course, appears on the The Tonight Show, hits the studio and much more. Bieber is only 18, but he says he feels like he’s become significantly more mature over the last couple of years. “I feel like I carry myself in a more manly way,” he says. “I don’t carry myself as a boy.” Some highlights from the story:

• Midway through a golf game at a private country club, Bieber and his entourage are confronted by paparazzi. Bieber responds by taking out his nine-iron and hitting a golf ball at them. He later tells an employee at the club that “we’ll probably never play here again.”

• His manager Scooter Braun addresses concerns that Bieber’s relationship with Selena Gomez will lessen his appeal with tween fans. “Personally, I think that’s all a bunch of bullshit,” Braun says. “Yes, there’s gonna be some girls that if they see him with a girlfriend, it kills the dream – but there’s also gonna be girls that see him with a girlfriend, hear about the romantic things he does and want him even more.”

LMAOOOOOOOOO!!!!! I mean, really? I honestly get that little Justin Bieber at 18 years old really wants to be seen as a man and he may see himself as a man but … no, sorry. As long as JB is a popstar, he will never be a man. Still, I guess you can’t fault the kid for trying … he is on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine, after all. I don’t know that anything of substance can be gleaned from the forthcoming coverstory feature but I know for a fact that this new issue of Rolling Stone magazine will make for great new material for little girls and boys to tape up on their bedroom walls. So … I gotta ask … since Rolling Stone is trying to make us see Justin Bieber as a man, are you buying it?

i feel like i did something wrong looking at the cover. im sorry, even though hes 18, that cover scream kiddie porn

    • Amanda

@Nicole – SO AGREE! It looks like a 15 year old girl is making bedroom eyes at me and so I feel awkward and pervy and a little bit violated.

Also, what I’ve read of his cover story suggests to me something I’ve long thought – that he’s probably going to go the way of Lilo and her ilk. I hope I’m very wrong, but it seems like he wants so badly to break his pop-tart mold that he might just do anything to accomplish it.

    • nat

Icky.I don’t care how HOT_READY_LEGAL he thinks he is,he still manages to look like an overgrown toddler.

  • Kat

JB would make for a very pretty girl

  • Bradywantsmoore

I think he looks awfully adorable posing as a “man” on the cover. I’ve seen him look manlier. He looks like a teenager trying to play sexy older man and he just comes off… Adorable lol he’s the Biebs! Nice try tho…

  • Juneh

He looks like a fourteen year old with photoshoppped muscles… It’s so weird, it’s kinda funny! :D

  • Adrian

He’s more “mature” but ends up purposely hitting a golf ball at the the paps. Whatever. He still looks like a 12 yr old so the title “Hot, Legal, Ready” really makes me feel a little uneasy.

    • @Adrian — ““Hot, Legal, Ready” really makes me feel a little uneasy.” MTE :/

  • Katy

Yeah, while I do enjoy listening to some of his music, this magazine cover make me feel more than slightly uncomfortable. Not to mention that if you use your fingers to block out his hair and torso, he really is quite androgynous.

  • Zeke

He looks like one of Angelina and Brad’s daughters LOL!

  • fab4runner

He sounds like a douche. I am sure that the paparazzi are annoying, but hitting a golf ball at them is not the right way to handle it. You can seriously injure someone that way.

  • Mitchell

Oh, Justin. If your cover shoots still rival the prettiness of Vogue centrefolds, you aren’t a boy, not yet a man.

  • JYC

BWAAAAA HHHAAAAAA HAAAAAA!!! – Seriously? The kid doesn’t even have to SHAVE yet! That is freaking hysterical…It’s a hit, and a miss! Check back in about 10 years maybe?

    • Meghan

      My sentiments exactly!

  • Krissy

That cover is so embarrassing . Pushing the “I’m Sexy” thing when you aren’t is never a good move. I kind of think that RS knew this wouldn’t be taken seriously, and are laughing at him. I agree with others, not only does he look 12, he ACTS like he is 12 years old.

I am still really angry that he endangered my friends and family by driving around like a nut on the 101, and hasn’t been arrested for it. They weren’t waving a gun at him, it was a camera. There is NO justification for nearly killing people just because you don’t want your picture taken in your tack-ass chrome car. Such a BRAT! If he doesn’t face consequences, he WILL turn out like Lilo.

    • Mitchell

I agree, Justin should be reprimanded for his actions in the 101.

I’m kind of having second thoughts about criticizing his appearance and degree of “manliness”, if such a degree of manliness even exists. He can’t help his boy-ish charm, but, being an 18 year old man, scrutiny of aspects out of his reach can really harm his intellectual growth and mental stability. I mean, what 18 year old guy wants to be called effeminate, boy-ish or un-sexy? Not a single one. I recede my comment above regarding the Vogue centrefolds, and hope Justin chooses to ignore this negative attention and choose a life path separate from the likes of LiLo.

Sorry for hijacking your post, Krissy, but I do agree with you!

    • Krissy

No worries, it is good to hear your thoughts!
I agree that no guy wants to be called un-sexy, but I feel like he was kind of set up for that reaction with the tone of this photo shoot.

I was just thinking how back in ancient Greece, this photo WOULD have been considered super hot because the young male form was cultural ideal. In today’s society, I think if we took a young girl, looking just as juvenile, and put her on this cover, today’s men would actually be very pleased with it. I think it is probably a good thing that (most) people don’t find young looking boys to be sexy.

    • Katy

I agree with both of you – if one of us drove the way The Biebs did, we would probably by in an 8×8 cell.

  • swile71

What a JOKE! This cover is terrible. He still looks like a prepubescent little girl. There is nothing HOT about him. Enjoy your 15 minutes Justina.

  • Dot

He sounds like a douche and he looks like a douche on this cover. This kid needs a reality check, seriously people are getting tired of him.

  • Kristín

bwahahahaha hot, legal, ready my ass!

  • Jacqui

Can he please elist Zach Efron’s personal trainer stat!

  • DC

hellz no he ain’t hot, ready, legal he looks like a 10 year old littLe BOY

  • margaret

Isn’t “HOT. READY. LEGAL” the same headline Rolling Stone used for Lindsay Lohan when she turned 18?
    Fairly ominous.

  • Cee

  • Luna

Worst Rolling Stone cover ever. Even Snooki sitting on a rocket is better.

I really dislike him more and more. Yucks.

  • Cara

He will always look like Rachel Maddow to me.
