Sylvester Stallone Issues A Statement About The Death Of His Son Sage Moonblood

A couple of days ago we learned the very sad news that Sylvester Stallone’s first born child, Sage Moonblood, was found dead dead in his apartment. Since news of Sage’s death emerged, speculation has been running rampant about the 36 year old’s cause of death. As a result, Sly felt compelled to issue a public statement regarding his son’s passing in order to try and quell the “speculation and questionable reporting” that has been going around in the past few days. Click below to read the text of Stallone’s statement.

“When a parent loses a child there is no greater pain. Therefore I am imploring people to respect my talented son’s memory and feel compassion for his loving mother Sasha. This agonizing loss will be felt for the rest of our lives. Sage was our first child and the center of our universe and I am humbly begging for all to have my son’s memory and soul left in peace.”

Ugh, this is just so sad. Many sites are reporting various causes of death but until we know for sure, I think it’s best to just stick to the facts … and that fact is that a loss like this is just incomprensible to those of us lucky to have never experienced the sudden loss of a child. My heart goes out to the Stallone family. The pain that they are enduring must be overwhelming at times so let’s send all of our best wishes, thoughts and prayers to Sly and Sasha. This is a very tragic end to a promising life. I truly hope Sage Moonblood is at peace at last.

My sincerest condolances to Mr. Stallone and his family. My father lost his eldest daughter ( my sister ) last year. Regardless of whether the death is expected or sudden, it is an unimanageable loss for the parent. I will pray for Mr. Stallone and his family.

    Heartbreaking. :(

I wish all the tabloids would leave them alone. It’s cruel to turn the death of their son into a game. It’s a shame that some people cannot stop objectifying celebrities and treat them as human beings, even for a moment.
