It’s the moment you’ve all been waiting for! Well, sort of. The big moment hasn’t uhhh popped off yet (lol), but this is still pretty big. Will Snooki‘s baby be a “Jionni Jr.“? Or will Trent‘s prediction/wish come true with a baby “Lorenzo” on the way? Somebody got gangsta in the HuffPost comments and suggested that she name the baby after the baby’s father– “Lil Situation.” Hmmm, yeah. I don’t think that’s gonna be the baby’s name. Of course people are online acting all annoyed and being all like, “Ugh, she’s not even Italian” (Lorenzo is a very Italian name; Snooki was born Chilean (thank dave!)but grew up in an Italian household) and “Ugh that poor baby should be put up for adoption.”
Um. No! I am not about mommy-bashing over here! Or I try not to be. At least, I think it’s unfair that we single out one Mom with questionable Mommy behavior. There are like 72 million sketchy-ass moms out there! Snooki may be one of them but we don’t know that yet. The only “bad” thing people can seem to point to (since she got prego) was that she fell in her heels. Please. Don’t make me compose a fully comprehensive list of celebs who fell or tripped in their heels while pregnant.
(True story, I started writing the list, but it felt a bit malicious… and kinda morbid). Anyway, there’s a lot of them. And I busted my ass (as in, did not fall or trip, but busted my ass) getting off the train once while 6 months prego. If I’d been on Jersey Shore (and I sooo should have been) people would have been like, “OMG Shannon (I don’t know my Jersey Shore nickname, feel free to assign) just fell while pregnant in flats! That’s what she gets for commuting to school while prego! Bad mommy! Bad mommy!”
So yeah, no. Snooki will be fine. As PITNBr Joanna pointed out on our Snooki/JWOWW BFF File, at least she’s got Jionni. And they say all you need is one good parent.
I’m just kidding; they don’t say that. So Snooki better get it together, lol. And something tells me she will/is.

Lorenzo is also a Spanish name.. But who cares! That comment is so ignorant “she’s not even italian”.. So what, I’m irish/mexican w. an Italian middle name.. My husband is south american and we gave our sons italian and spanish names… What’s in a name, Shakespeare said.. People love to live in the comfort of their 4 walls w.o ever looking outside.. Its frustrating to know that ppl are still so ignorant.
And we’re not middle eastern but I also have family members with middle eastern names; my irish/mex sister being one of those family members.

Drives me insane that people would judge Snooki’s ability to be a mum by her single 20′s behaviour, that is for a tv show! Are the only people who will be good parents those who don’t go out and party? who are the smartest people for every subject? And dress exactly like the crazy cookie cutters on stepford wives? oh and have only ever slept with one person because god forbid people aren’t married when they have their kids. and And even though she isn’t Italian she was raised in an Italian American home.

nitwits her fiance is Italian so they chose the name to honor his heritage. it’s like Claire Newmans first name was probably partially Chosen to honor her mother Joanne’s french heritage while her middle older sisters name was chosen after the first Charecter her mother ever played in a movie and their oldest biological sister is named for their grandmothers.
