Firstly, I have to send out all my love and thanks to all of you for the outpouring of Birthday Lurve I received yesterday. I’m not a big fan of birthdays, to be honest, but it’s hard not to feel special when one hears so many nice things from so many people. Some of you even generously donated to my Team 2 End AIDS fundraising account for AIDS Project Los Angeles and helped me raise much needed money for the organization. An extra special thanks goes out to those people. My birthday yesterday was really fun. I was able to relax for most of the day and then last night David and I enjoyed a fun (if a bit wet) night at Disney’s California Adventure theme park. As usual, we snapped some fun photos, you can check them out below.
Last night’s visit was my first to the park with my Oswald the Lucky Rabbit Ears hat. I am proud to report that I was the only person in the park wearing the ears and I received a lot of compliments. Because I was wearing my Birthday Button, I got even more Birthday Lurve from the folks at Disney … yes, I’m 6 years old and yes, I loved every second of it:
Last night’s visit was David’s first to the newly renovated California Adventure park and he loved it as much as I did. We got to ride the Luigi’s Flying Tires ride together and LOVED it so much. Because of the rain (YES, the rain), some of the other rides were shut down but, honestly, we had a blast eating and hanging out in the park. In the many, many years that I’ve been going to Disneyland, I’ve never once had to deal with rain … so you can imagine my surprise last night. Rain in LA is basically a tender sprinkle so it wasn’t that terrible … but, we did cut our visit short in order to stay as dry as possible. Even still, David and I had a lot of fun.
No big plans for today. David and I are having a date night tonight so that will be fun. The clouds are gone and the sun is shining so the “rain” should be dunzo for a few years. I hope YOU are having a great Friday and will enjoy a Happy Weekend ahead :)
