Back in May we got our first look at the first trailer released for the forthcoming film Gangster Squad. As you may know, Gangster Squad stars Ryan Gosling, Emma Stone and … some other people (Sean Penn, Josh Brolin, yadda yadda) and is due out by year’s end. Today we get to check out the just-released second trailer for the film and altho it’s not too dissimilar from the first trailer, it does feature new scenes from the film … particularly of Ryan Gosling. Like the first trailer, I quite like this new trailer for Gangster Squad. I’m not sure what I was expecting but this definitely looks like a gritty and interesting story. I have no doubt that Sean Penn, as the villain (?), will deliver an aptly over-the-top performance. Obviously, I’m very excited about Ryan‘s inclusion but I can’t seem to get used to the accent he is using in the film. I keep expecting him to say something like, Turn out da lights, Mugsy. Still, silly accents aside, I’m intrigued by this film. I don’t normally go for period piece films but Gangster Squad definitely looks interesting to me. Does it look like a film that YOU would like to see?
