Jenny McCarthy Graces The Cover Of ‘Playboy’ Magazine For The 6th Time

America's Sweetheart Returns

39 year old Jenny McCartney caused a bit of a stir when she revealed earlier this year that she was planning to be featured on the cover and in the pages of Playboy magazine for the 6th time. Folks seemed to take issue not with the fact that this cover would be her 6th (and 7th pictorial, overall) but with the fact that she would be a 39 year old Playmate. I’ve been a Jenny Mc fan for many, many years. I LOVED her way back in the 90′s when she hosted the MTV dating series Singled Out and, of course, when she was the star of her own comedy sketch series The Jenny McCarthy Show. I have always found Jenny beautiful and that has not changed. Now, I don’t always blog about Playboy magazine covermodels but I kinda love that Jenny has no problem baring her soul (and a bit more) for Playboy at the very sexy age of 39. Click below to get your first look at Jenny‘s latest Playboy cover … but be mindful, the coverphoto is fairly NSFW.

Just months away from hitting the big 4-0, Jenny McCarthy proves she’s still got it. The host of NBC’s Love in the Wild appears in her seventh nude pictorial for Playboy in the July/August issue that hits newsstands Friday, and PEOPLE has a sneak peek. “I’m really proud of it,” McCarthy tells PEOPLE. “The pictures are really gorgeous and classy. They could be out of W magazine. They’re really elegant. It’s probably a lot more sophisticated than a lot of the stuff you’d see of people with their clothes on.” Prepping for the shoot didn’t take much effort for the TV personality. “The one thing I like about Playboy is they don’t have the anorexic look,” she says. “The women are voluptuous. So I didn’t really want to diet. I just wanted to tone up.”

I realize that nude pictorials like this are not everyone’s cup of tea (I mean, they’re not really my cup of tea either … unless we’re talking Jake Gyllenhaal but, well, we’re not). That being said, I do love that Jenny is able to show that women are sexy at any age. Blah, I hate that age even has to be part of this conversation. Whether or not you agree that nude modeling is empowering or not (and I’m not saying that it is or isn’t), you have to respect a person — any person — who is confident enough with themselves to bare themselves in this way to the world. Jenny McCarthy is beautiful with her clothes on and off … and she is happy to show off that fact. I guess my point is that, I personally don’t care what Jenny‘s age is. She is doing what she wants to do proudly and that is something that I can respect. So … what do you think?

I’d like to see her pictures from this issue before the retouchers worked their PhotoShop magic. That would be a much more accurate idea of what she looks like as 40 looms on the horizon.

I TOTALLY AGREE! I want to see the “before” pics too! Cuz this is making me depressed, considering that I’m younger! lol

I think it is great that she is confident to do this, but I just cannot like her for all the damage she has done for vaccination issues.

    • @Hannah — “I just cannot like her for all the damage she has done for vaccination issues.” Honestly, I didn’t even go there cuz I agree with you, her personal beliefs on vaccination are troubling.

Same here. I know too many people who were swayed by her vaccination-autism link despite the fact she was quoting an inaccurate study from one source and “general knowledge,” when all prevailing examinations and medical knowledge proves there’s no link. And now that whooping cough is returning to Washington State, leading to the deaths of many infants, I just want to throttle her every time I see her.

I really can’t like her. Tom Cruise gets the same response for belittling Brooke Shields’ experience with post-partum depression. Celebrities get a larger forum, and if they can’t talk about something they’re clueless on — or their highly charged opinion is not founded on something accurate — then I’d prefer they keep their mouth shut. :(

I have to agree also. When she started to speak up about the whole vaccination-autism-thing I just kinda started.. not liking her. And for me, whenever I see her face I’m just reminded of those quotes and it totally turns me off. Though I do believe she has the best intentions, it’s not working for me.

I don’t relate at all to the desire to pose nude for the public, so I have no idea about the empowerment thing. But I think if she hadn’t already had plastic surgery on her face and body, I’d be more excited about the fact that she’s 39.

The weird thing to me about the uproar over her age is that I’m also in my late 30s and my body hasn’t been affected by age at all. I’ve always exercised and eaten well, so that’s probably why, but my body looks the same as it always has. So it’s weird to me that people think 39 means your body is falling apart. My friends my age seem to look good, too, though I don’t see them naked!

(My face, on the other hand, has definitely been affected by age — but I can’t regret great times spent in the sun!)

  4. She looks amazing!! Kudos for her.

Yep, I don’t swing that way……but if I did, I would do her. LOL. She is hot, and kudos to her for baring it all at 39, when most of the women in that mag are in their early 20′s. I heart her! :)
