Earlier this month I shared some very upsetting news … as you may recall, Morrissey was quoted by The San Francisco Chronicle in an interview that suggested that he is planning to retire from music. I am ECSTATIC to now report that according to Moz himself, he has no plans to retire. In fact, Morrissey seems intent on moving forward full steam ahead with his music career. Moz has just announced a long list of concert dates set to take place here in the US this Fall. While I’m sure Mozzer will retire from show business someday, I am happy to see that any plans for retirement are far in the future. Click below to see what Moz has to say about his alleged retirement and see the list of concert dates that have just been released.

Morrissey would like to stress that reports of his ‘retirement’, as excitably earmarked by several newspapers and websites are “wishful thinking” on behalf of the writers.
I’m not sure if the quotes published by the SF Chronicle were an exaggeration, a fabrication or verbatim but at least we know how that Morrissey is not retiring any time soon. And that is fantastic news. Here is a list of the concert dates that have been released that show just how bizzy Moz plans to be this Fall:

Wooot!!! There was a ticket presale for the LA show earlier today and I managed to get sweet seats for the show. I love Moz so I’m excited to see him again … but I also love my Detroit homies Iggy Pop and the Stooges so, yeah, that show is going to be amazing. I cannot even tell you how relieved I am that Morrissey is showing no signs of slowing down. He is an amazing musician and live performer. I am very much looking forward to many years of music from him :)

Happy news – first time seeing Morrissey
Awesome that Iggy and the Stooges are playing! That sounds like a great show. I just wish it wasn’t only in LA. :( But like I knew the man plays on and I will get to see him again. :) Morrissey will never retire!
