Yesterday was a pretty sweet day for me. I managed to reach a new plateau in my running training and I got to spend some time with a bunch of friends last night. All in all, ’twas a great Tuesday for me. On my run, I managed to run farther than I ever have before at a single time and, honestly, it was fairly easy I’m shocked to say. After a short rest, David and I met up with some friends at MJ’s for a birthday celebration for a friend. Lots of fun was had, check out some photos below.
Before I even left the house, I knew yesterday’s run was going to be a good one. I decided to map out a route that would take me farther from home than I’ve ever been before on foot and I surprised myself with all the places I was able to ran past on my 11 mile run. I ran all the way to and thru Beverly Hills (right past Rodeo Drive) which was kind of neat. Trust me, it was not fun running right past Sprinkles cupcakes and NOT stopping for a snack :( Still, I managed to keep on trucking. I just knew I was going to be able to hit my 11 mile goal. Honestly, if yesterday was my half marathon day, I’d've been able to run the full 13.1 miles. My legs are a bit sore today but it was so worth it.
Last night, after my run, David and I made our way to Silverlake to party at MJ’s for a birthday party. Jonny McGovern and Willam Belli were among the acts that performed:
You may recall that I previously posted Willam‘s music video for his original song Chow Down (at Chick-Fil-A) and last night, he performed it live on stage … fair warning, the video may be a bit NSFW:
I swear, I love him so much. Willam is the funnest, craziest person you’ll ever meet … sweet and beautiful, yeah, I’m a fan. I’m glad that we made it out to the club last night because it was really nice getting to hang out with everyone. We didn’t stay out too late but we did manage to have as much fun as possible.
No big fun plans for today. The Insurance company is sending a person to evaluate my car damage and then … no plans. I might go for a walk to loosen up my leg muscles but I’ll likely just try and blow thru season 3 of Voyager. My life is so exciting sometimes, isn’t it ;) Happy Hump Day!
