Hi Everyone…

Hope you are sitting down because we’ve got some really big news to share with you! While adding the finishing touches to our new album we realized it was time to name it…so we did, and the name is … (drum roll please) … Push and Shove !!!

We also want to let you know that the first single from Push and Shove will be “Settle Down” and we’ll be filming the video for it this week with our longtime friend and collaborator Sophie Muller. Very exciting!

We can’t wait to share it all with you. See you out there soon.

Oh and P.S…Webisode #2 is on it’s way. Stay tuned!

No Doubt’s new album Push and Shove will be released on September 25, 2012. The first single “Settle Down” will debut on July 16, 2012. The music video for “Settle Down” will premiere in early July. The video will be directed by Sophie Muller who has helmed many of No Doubt’s music videos including “Don’t Speak,” “Underneath It All,” “Sunday Morning” and “Simple Kind of Life”.

Push and Shove, Settle Down … something tells me that this new No Doubt album will hearken back to the band’s ska roots. I’ve been an ND fan for years so I’m really looking forward to this new release. 2012 is turning out to be a really fantastic year for album releases from fantastic 90s musicians. Garbage, Fiona Apple, Tori Amos, Smashing Pumpkins and No Doubt … so much great music coming out this year, I hardly know what to do with myself. I’m very anxious to hear new music from No Doubt but we have a bit longer to wait. Hopefully the band will preview something fun in their forthcoming second webisode. Stay tuned.

I read in the popjustice forum that the song is similar to hey baby, and described as an upbeat reggae dancehall number. And from the push and shove song preview, I’m excited.

  • I am beyond excited for the new album. I’ve been a fan for at least the last 15 years or so. I’ve been wanting more music from them for years. They are one of my all time favorite bands. July can’t come quickly enough for me.
