For The First Time EVER, All 5 ‘Star Trek’ Captains Photographed In One Place

Kirk, Picard, Sisko, Janeway & Archer

In the 46 years that Star Trek has existed, in one form or another, there have been 5 captains at the helm of the Star Trek TV and Film franchise. Star Trek had James T. Kirk (played by William Shatner), Star Trek: The Next Generation had Jean-Luc Picard (played by Patrick Stewart), Star Trek: Deep Space Nine had Benjamin Sisko (played by Avery Brooks), Star Trek: Voyager had Kathryn Janeway (played by Kate Mulgrew) and Star Trek: Enterprise had Jonathan Archer (played by Scott Bakula). In all those 39 years, these 5 captains had never been photographed together in one place … until now. Last weekend, at Wizard World‘s Philadelphia Comic Con, all 5 Star Trek captains made an appearance together and were photographed together. And it is a beautiful sight.

Last weekend, all five of Star Trek‘s television captains appeared together at Wizard World’s Philadelphia Comic Con. This marks the very first time the five captains, William Shatner, Patrick Stewart, Avery Brooks, Kate Mulgrew and Scott Bakula, have appeared together at such an event. The next scheduled appearance of the captains is scheduled for the Destination: Star Trek event, which takes place October 19-21 in London.

I must confess, as I have a few times before … I am a big Trekkie nerd. I love the show in all its forms (tho, ST: TNG is my fave) and I love all of these captains individually (tho Captain Picard and Captain Janeway are my faves). But seeing all the captians all togehter for the first time … I mean, it’s pretty damn cool. I know there have to be a few Trekkies (or Trekkers, if you prefer) out there so I’m sharing these photos with all y’all. I’m very much looking forward to the day when a new incarnation of Star Trek goes into production (and y’all know I am really looking forward to J.J. Abrams‘s Star Trek 2 film). So, until then … I think I’ll reflect back on how amazing each of these characters are individually. Which of these captains is your fave?

Star Trek is 46 years old not 39. Has been around since 1966

Picard is the best, hands down. No one is cooler than him. Although, I did love Riker if that counts.

Definitely Picard! My dad got me into TNG when I was younger & I loved the time we spent together watching Picard, Ricker, Troi, Data, Worf, Crusher, Geordi…etc & the rest of the crew all together. To this day ill stop & watch the episodes everytime they’re on TV. I just bought my fav movie of TNG series ”First Contact,” & after seeing all those captains together I think ill have to pop it in tonight. Ssshhh please dont tell anyone about my secret nerdy past-times;-)

Ohhhhhhh so jealous! Was supposed to have Picard at our Comic con, but he bailed and we had Shatner instead. Which is still awesome, but I do love me some Picard!

My brothers going to this event in London, he’s the biggest trekkie there is and is constantly going on about it lol! He’s bought the more expensive ticket too, which means he gets to meet them all and gets photos with them.
    Gotta love Picard though!

Wow – thanks for posting this. I am a huge fan also of Patrick Stewart and Kate Mulgrew. So need to see them all together. Yes, I used to have a huge ‘mature-man’ crush on Patrick.

There have not been 5 captains of at the helm of the Enterprise. I’m afraid the first sentence is wrong. Very wrong. Sisko and Janeway captained Deep Space Nine and Voyager… the names of their shows. It’s fairly simple.
