    Those needle-less/Star Trek-like injections have been around for at least 16 yrs. I was dating a guy in the Army at that time and that’s how all of the many required vaccinations were given to him. (Can we say guinea pig?;) It’s my understanding that the military phased those types of injections out b/c they were not as sterile as traditional needle injections – b/c the force of the air pressure was sometimes so great that blood from the injection site would splatter back! But it sounds like from that article that they’ve found a way to vary the air pressure, which will presumably prevent the back splatter of blood. It is interesting though.
