Jennifer Hudson’s Brother In Law Found Guilty Of Triple Family Murder

I’m sure you remember the tragic story of Jennifer Hudson’s family who suffered a triple murder back in 2008. Jennifer’s mother, brother and nephew were brutally murdered, and today we have learned that Jen’s brother in law, William Balfour, was found guilty and convicted yesterday of three counts of murder. William , the ex husband of Jennifer’s sister, was arrested December 1 2008. The past few weeks the trial has been going on, and yesterday the jury in Chicago delivered its verdict against William Balfour, after a reported 18 hours of deliberations. He now faces life in prison.

Balfour was charged with the murders of Hudson’s mother Darnell Donerson, brother Jason Hudson and 7-year-old nephew Julian King in 2008. Prosecutors alleged Balfour acted out in a jealous rage over what he thought was another man in the life of Hudson’s sister, Julia. Hudson, 30, attended the trial and was the first witness, telling jury through tears that she had warned Julia against marrying Balfour. “None of us, myself, my mother, or my brother, we did not like how he treated her, and I didn’t like how he treated my nephew,” Hudson said.

Balfour, who was estranged from Julia at the time of the killings, pleaded not guilty, and his lawyer challenged the forensic evidence in the circumstantial case that lacked DNA evidence or fingerprints.

This is such an awful, awful story and I am just glad that the Hudson family has been given some kind of closure now with this outcome. Obviously, nothing is going to bring back their family members who were horribly murdered, and no doubt, this is something Jennifer will live with for the rest of her life and never, ever get over. Ugh, so horrible, I cannot even imagine! Hopefully though this finding of the court will give her some peace and solace. Lets send our best wishes to Jennifer and the Hudson family at this time.

What happened to Jennifer is real life nightmare. If it was me I would be in a mental institution. She’s really a strong person and I wish her all the best.
