Catherine Elizabeth Middleton, also known as Kate or the Duchess of Cambridge may be a princess in waiting, but she is also seriously becoming a leader in the fashion stakes. This past week she revealed two incredibly fashionable, and seriously sexy looks. The Duke and Duchess attended two events; a dinner hosted by The Thirty Club at Claridges on May 8th, and ‘Our Greatest Team Rises – BOA Olympic Concert’ at Royal Albert Hall on May 11th. Check out Kate’s new plunging necklines, backless lace, high slits and super trendy heels. Va va voom!
At the Olympic event, Kate wore a STUNNING fairly deep fronted teal Jenny Packham dress, which from the front may have looked royal-appropriate, but from the back revealed a sexy edge. The very low backless lace design looked amazing on her, but is pretty against Palace norm. She also teamed the look with glittery, platform Jimmy Choo sandals. Much more of a high fashion and trendy look than what we have come to expect from royals. I love it though!
Likewise, at The Thirty Club event, Kate wore a fitted floor length white Roland Mouret dress, which she also accessorized with the open-toed Jimmy Choos. The white dress seemed somewhat conservative on first glance, but revealed a high slit exposing the Duchess’s thigh when she walked and got out of the car.
Kate is a serious stunner, I think she looks gorgeous in both these looks. I love that she is embracing a more modern royal look. I have no doubt that her stylist is doing this deliberately as they “package” the Duchess of Cambridge as a young, hip, princess. Neither of these looks were racy or inappropriate in any way, but they definitely gave off more of a sexy and fashion forward vibe. LOVE it! What do you think of Kate’s looks of the week?

Wow. Not one to fawn over royalty (didn’t we fight a war over that? ;-)) but this girl is a class act. That first dress is to die for, seriously.
And yeah, those are Jimmy Choo’s which means they cost more $ than I’ve spent on all my clothes in the last five years but you gotta love that she wears them repeatedly (and she seems to be known to “recycle” clothing pieces which is shockingly normal).
LOVE both dresses, LOVE her updo, LOVE that she recycled the shoes, I just LOVEEEEEEEE everything about her!

I’d kill for that teal dress, so beautiful! She just oozes class, and yet appears so normal and approachable. I love that she seems genuinely happy (real smiles) and glows. I loved Diana too, but the sadness just seeped from her pores.
