Mira Sorvino Welcomes Her Fourth Child Into The World

Baby Number Four

Mira Sorvino and her hubby, Christopher Backus, have welcomed their fourth child, after Mira gave birth to their newest family member on Thursday. The actress most known for her role in Mighty Aphrodite and more recently, the high brow Romy And Michelle’s High School Reunion is already mom to a growing Sorvino-Backus clan, and now she can add another little girl to the brood. Welcome baby girl!

Mira and Chris, a total Johnny Depp lookalike, named their baby girl, Lucia. She already has 3 older siblings to play with – Holden, who just turned 2, Johnny who is 5, and 7 year old Mattea.

“We are thrilled beyond measure to have been blessed with our fourth precious, healthy child,” Sorvino and husband Christopher Backus tell PEOPLE.

Mira and Chris starred together in their latest movie, Union Square, which premiered at the Toronto Film Festival 2011. The movie will be out this July. Chris is also making his directorial debut in The Sessionist this summer. I have been looking forward to seeing Union Square for a while now ever since I heard about it last year. I love how Mira is a fan of Indie film making, and this one is nothing short of that. It was apparently made on a minute shoestring budget; Christopher and their 3 kids have small parts in the film and the Mira did some of the camera work herself too. It has been described as an intense sibling drama set on Thanksgiving eve and Mira plays a manic whirlwind. I think she’s a great actress and am definitely going to check this one out in the summer. But, back to the baby news- congratulations to the whole Sorvino-Backus family and welcome to the word baby Lucia!

I always loved her. She kinda faded away a little bit. Her and her hubby are very cute, I can’t believe they’re already up to 4 kids!

I think anyone would take a step back from the Hollywood limelight with three small children in tow (and now four!). I enjoy her films, and look forward to seeing Union Square.
