Watch: Samantha Ronson Debuts New Single ‘Summer Of Sam’

Celebrity DJ, Samantha Ronson made an appearance on Live! with Kelly earlier this week to debut her new single, Summer of Sam, which is off her new album, Chasing The Reds. Sam performed with her band, Samantha Ronson & The Undertakers and we have a clip here for you to check out the latest single…

Lindsay Lohan’s ex, Sam, has been around on the DJ circuit for a while now, but it seems that she is trying her hand again at making it as a singer. She put out about three songs in 2002 when she was signed to Roc-A-Fella Records, and they were all used in soundtracks for movies. Ironically, Built This Way was used in Lindsay Lohan’s Mean Girls, Pull My Hair Out was used in The Woodsman and Wanted was used in the Ryan Gosling movie Half Nelson. Sam recorded an album in 2004, but it was never released. This new album was released in November 2011.

Summer of Sam is perfectly timed with the upcoming arrival of summer, but I’m just not sure that she should make the permanent move from DJ’ing to singing. I think she should stick to her day job. I personally don’t feel that strongly toward this track, I don’t love it and I don’t hate it, but unfortunately Sam has been getting quite a bit of criticism online since her Live! With Kelly performance. What do you think of Samantha Ronson’s new single??

What’s wrong with just being a DJ? I hear she’s pretty good at it. This isn’t going to break any records, but it might break a few sets of ears. Sorry Sam, still <3 you.
