Let me tell you about my Saturday yesterday here in NYC. It was glorious, it was magnificent … it was basically perfect. The weather was amazing and the vibe in the city was just … so nice. After my lackluster run on Friday, I decided to go for a longer run in Central Park. From the start, my intention was to enjoy the run … no matter what. I am happy to report that my 6 mile run all around Central Park was incredibly soul-redeeming and just made my week. Last night, David, his sisters and I got to meet our friends Marissa and Ryan’s newborn baby boy Max. As far as days go, yesterday was pretty spectacular.
It took me a few miles to get into the groove of my run but once I broke thru, I had a great time. The park was so full of other runners, bikers, rollerbladers, walkers all over the place. Everyone was just enjoying the warm sunshine … it was just really lovely all around. I’m very happy that I was able to complete my 6 mile run … it more than made up for my disappointment the day before :)
Last night, the bunch of us went over to Marissa and Ryan’s to meet the little prince Max:
First off, is this not the most adorable baby you’ve ever seen? He’s an absolute doll. Secondly, I cannot believe that Marissa and Ryan are parents! But, seeing them in action … it’s easy to see that they are natural parents. I couldn’t be happier for the newly expanded little family. David and I love them so much … it was really very sweet getting to spend so much quality time with them last night.
The rest of the night was spent … doing nothing. We went out for dinner then came home and all crashed out. In a few hours, David and I will be heading back to Central Park for Jim and Derek’s wedding. We are so excited for that. Bizzy Bizzy … but happy in the city! Happy Sunday!!0
