I’m not sure how you and your family spent the weekend but the Beckham bunch enjoyed a superfun, sports-filled extravaganza here in SoCal. Daddy David Beckham took his youngest son Cruz David to see the LA Lakers play at the Staples Center and, in the process, showered the little boy with mounds of affection. Then, mama Victoria Beckham joined Becks and her boys for an afternoon of hockey fun with the LA Kings, also at the Staples Center. It’s not an exaggeration to say that the Beckham family eats, drinks and sleeps sports.

Cruz Beckham is shaping up to be as much of a sports fan as his father. After watching his dad David on the football pitch yesterday, the father son duo today headed to see a basketball game between the LA Lakers and the Dallas Mavericks. And as well as keeping a close eye on the ball, the pair were seen sharing a tender moment. David, 36, clutched his youngest son’s face in his hands and planted a sweet kiss on his forehead. They then got back to watching the match. And Cruz, seven, clearly idolises David as he looked adoringly at his football ace father as the pair sat courtside. Cruz was also seen with an arm around his father as he chatted animatedly about the excitement unfolding on the court before him … The duo cheered on their team and were seen leaping from their seats to applaud the Lakers. No doubt they were thrilled when the Lakers beat the Mavericks in the game.

Cruz Beckham really is a very lucky little boy. As well as having EVERYTHING he’ll ever need in terms of material possessions (Lego, Transformers, trainers and stuff), he’s also a very loved little man. Just a day after going to watch the basketball with the most desirable David in the world , or daddy as Cruz probably knows him, and being literally adored all day as he prodded, poked and sat on his pa’s lap (oh, yes please), the youngest Beckham bro was treated to another sporting day out. But this time he got to spend the day on his Posh mummy’s knees at the ice hockey and was showered with female affection from her all day. Even though Cruz is seven now and has the look of a little rascal about him, he clearly still loves being the baby of the family. Even though technically he no longer is… he’s still the baby boy. Victoria snuggled up to her lad all afternoon and smirked as he was accosted by the Los Angeles King’s Lion mascot – who clearly managed to see how famous the spectators were through all that fur and hung about next to them for a bit.
Gah! So cute!! I really love seeing photos of Becks out with his kids … the photos of him loving up on Cruz are to DIE for. While Vicki B. does look bored out of her mind at the hockey game, it’s very nice that she made the time so attend the game with her boys. Very soon, we’ll be seeing little Harper Seven out at these sporting events, too. UGH! If the family looks cute now, wait til Harper gets in on the fun.

David loves his family so much. It is nice to see dads give this affection to there kids.
“oh, yes please” in regard to a first grader sitting on dad’s lap? Trent, you turned this adorable story into lecherous tackiness. Fail, fail, fail. It’s hard to believe you wrote this. In fact, I DON’T believe you wrote this.
The portions in white on any article are not written by Trent. They come from the original source. Trent’s comments are in pink. Just FYI!
@Liza – FAIL!!
Liza, the white stuff is never Trent, and if you click the “source” links in brackets at the bottom of each PITNB post, you can see the original in its entirety. In this case it’s the Mirror, a UK tabloid. A giant clue is the word “mummy”, which I’m fairly certain Trent has never used, LOL.
@Liza — “I DON’T believe you wrote this.” You are correct, I did not write the original source article that I quoted in white. My text is in pink.
Gah, I cannot get enough of David out with any of the kids! He is such an affectionate dad, and you can see in the many photos of him out with them that they just love every bit of it! I hope we don’t start getting kissy dad with the kids rolling their eyes at some point, but I suppose it’s inevitable. Even David Beckham is going to be uncool to his kids someday, LOL!
In other news, the Mirror article is really weirdly written. “Showered with female affection”? Who says that about a mom out with her son?
