Elle has featured men on its cover before but always with a pretty girl by his side. This Summer, David Beckham will be featured on the cover of British Elle magazine all by his sexy, fashionable self.
His wife regularly dominates the covers of the top women’s magazines. But it seems that husband David Beckham may be venturing onto her turf … the handsome football star – who is as famous off the pitch as he is on it – has been chosen to grace the cover of Elle UK as the magazine’s first ever solo male fashion cover star. Talking about the ‘really exciting’ venture – his first appearance on the cover of a women’s glossy magazine – the LA Galaxy ace said: ‘ELLE is a prestigious magazine with international recognition. I’m honoured to have been asked to be the first ever solo male fashion cover.’ The July issue is said to be ‘a nod to the Olympic Games by featuring a global icon famous for both his style and athletic prowess’.
While there are many extremely stylish and fashionable men who would make great coverboys for Elle magazine, it’s really a no-brainer that it would be David Beckham to be the FIRST man to appear solo on the cover. Not only is he the perfect vessel to display other people’s fashions but he is also the perfect person to model his own bodywear fashions. I foresee Becks‘s revolutionary Elle magazine cover to feature the man in a sharp suit, lookin’ fly as Hell. I can’t WAIT to see how his cover will turn out.
