Amanda Bynes Bails Out Of Jail

Freed Amanda

Earlier today we learned that retired actress Amanda Bynes was arrested late last night here in LA on charges of driving under the influence. As you may recall, Amanda was taken into police custody after she clipped a police car while allegedly intoxicated. Right now, we get to see just released new photos of Amanda as she made her way out of the police station where she was being held. Right now, Amanda Bynes is free.

As I understand it, bail was set at $5000 and I’m certain Amanda posted bail and got out as quickly as possible. Unfortch for her, it wasn’t quick enough to avoid detection by the press. As you can see, Amanda is hiding her face in shame as she is being driven away from the police station … and rightly so, IMHO. It is terribly dangerous and offensive for someone to get behind the wheel of a car and drive drunk OR under the influence of some other substance. Amanda Bynes has not yet been found guilty of any crime but if she is found guilty, I think she should be punished severely. All drunk drivers should be punished severely. Not only do they put their own lives at risk with their heinous behavior but they risk the lives of other innocent drivers who happen to be on the road at the same time. Shame indeed.

So glad to see her showing the shame she is feeling. Everyone makes mistakes. Let’s just hope this will wake her up and she learns her lesson. Call a taxi or hire a driver next time, Amanda (please). ;)

It really drives me crazy when people say that. Drinking and Driving isn’t just some “Mistake” one can go Oops about. Its not a lesson someone needs Hands-On experience to learn. I wish people who are convicted of DUI would be forced to get screened by professionals to see whats so screwed up with them in the first place, for them to think it was OK at the time.

I’m sure she knows it’s wrong. It is still a mistake. I’m not saying it is a small mistake! People screw up. It happens. We are all human. Hopefully she learned her lesson this time around when no one was hurt. People my age think they are invincible for some reason. I’m not saying it’s RIGHT. I’m saying they don’t know better for whatever reason. And they should all learn lessons like this before it’s too late.

I’m so sorry, I wrote that when I was still half asleep. Haha. Dear lord.

It is indeed embarrassing. What’s going on with her lately? She’s a good girl (going) bad :( Get it together girl!

UMMMM… A month ago she took off from a cop AFTER he pulled her over, so this is no surprise. I feel like she’s hungry for attention.

I hope she feels shame. She should. I love her but this is a disgusting thing to do. I’ve lost all respect for her. She’s a selfish and stupid human being. Shame on her and shame on her parents for not teaching her right from wrong.

Everyone makes mistakes, I’m sure she’s learned her lesson.

    • @Fabio — “I’m sure she’s learned her lesson.” What makes you say that?

If I was driving to work tomorrow and decided “I’ll try driving with my eyes closed today” and something bad should happen.. Its just a mistake, right? I mean, Its common sense Not to do something stupid like that. But without the hands-on experience of trying it, I couldn’t know for curtain…

I rode in a van with my uncle when I was in 9th (im now 31) grade and he was drunk off his ass. he almost killed us many times. He died in 2008 from an overdose and drinking was involved. So this might be a “mistake” to you. But for someone who has been down this road with a relative… I do not feel like it was a mistake and hope she gets help if she needs it.

I really hope she isn’t turning into the next Lindsay Lohan.
