Maggie Gyllenhaal Steps Out In NYC Showing Off her Growing Belly

We haven’t seen many pics of pregnant Maggie Gyllenhaal over winter. We saw a cute photo of her walking her older daughter, Ramona, to school in Brooklyn, New York, back in February, but since then she has been hibernating a bit. Now that spring has sprung and the weather is warming up, Maggie G is surfacing more. She was seen recently walking around her neighborhood showing off her burgeoning belly. This baby bump is definitely growin’ and Maggie looks like she could be at least 6 or 7 months along, from my non-medical opinion. She was also snapped with hubby, Peter Sarsgaard, attending the theater premiere of Death Of A Salesman in NYC.

Maggie looks gorgeous here. Dressed casually, as she does best, in a comfortable t-shirt and poncho, she looks every bit the relaxed mom-to-be. Her belly has definitely grown since we saw her last at the start of 2012.

A few days later Maggs was photographed attending the theater premiere of Death Of A Salesman at The Barrymore Theatre in New York City. Holding onto hubby, Peter’s arm, she looks positively glowing. Pregnancy really suits Maggie I think. I also love the ponchos she is wearing – they create a very chic pregnancy look.

“I find it difficult to pretend you’re not pregnant, which I had to do,” Maggie recently said about hiding her pregnancy before she announced it to the press. “I didn’t let anyone know until three and a half months this time. I went to film festivals. I’m throwing up in the bathroom and having to keep pretzels in my purse, and having to fit into dresses.”

Maggie recently confirmed that she is having a second baby girl, a sister for Ramona, who is already 5 years old, which is such exciting news. It’s great to see her looking and feeling so well now. I love this girl pregnant.

duh with your second you get bigger faster and Maggie announced when she was 19 weeks back in december and their are 31 weeks in 7 months so that’s right about how far she would be now. besides with each successive pregnancy the expectant mom doesn’t gain as much weight. like for example I remember Joanne Woodward once admitting that when she was pregnant with her first daughter Nell she gained 73lbs due in part to depression from a miscarriage during her & Paul’s honeymoon while with her two following pregnancies after Nell she gained 65 and 58lbs respectively and each daughter came out at term and between 8 1/4 & 11lbs which excceeded the average weight at the time which was about 6.5lbs
