Two weeks ago we had lots of news about the cast of the new season of American Horror Story. First, we heard that the amazing, Jessica Lange, had signed on to season 2. Then Ryan Murphy slowly and strategically revealed that Zachary Quinto would be returning alongside Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters and Lily Rabe. Today we are hearing that Maroon 5 front man, Adam Levine, is in negotiations to also star in season 2 of AHS. Adam made his television debut with reality TV thanks to his gig on The Voice, but this would be his first go at scripted television acting. Do you think he can do it?
EW can exclusively reveal that Levine is in final negotiations to appear in season 2 of FX’s hit thriller American Horror Story. In his television acting debut, Levine will be playing a contemporary character and half of a couple called “The Lovers.” AHS producers are so fond of Levine that they are shooting around his summer touring schedule.
While the second season of AHS, set to premiere on FX in October, has been cloaked in secrecy, we do know that original cast members Jessica Lange, Zachary Quinto, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, and Lily Rabe will be returning as entirely different characters. Co-creator Ryan Murphy has also said that season 2 will be set in on the East Coast and in a “horror institution.”
Adam has been a very busy man recently. Not only has he been focusing on his own music, but he started his own recording label and signed Glee star, Matthew Morrison. Then he revealed that he will be launching his own fragrance, 222. He could be adding new TV actor to the list as well if these negotiations with AHS go well. The story going around is that the producers really want him, and I guess, if they are trying to work around his touring schedule they are indeed serious about getting him on board.
I think Adam is a total spunk, and a great musician, but I am nervous about him joining the cast with acting veterans like Jessica Lange. This would be his acting debut, and could make or break him. What do you think of Adam joining AHS for season 2?
if they don’t know if he can act or not… why test him on a successful show? try him out on some piece of crap show

I know people are currently swooning all over him, but this dude is barely tolerable in Maroon 5, not at all tolerable on The Voice & should stay far away from acting. Please Ryan Murphy, think with your head & not your genitals. Hire more amazing actors, like Jessica Lange, to translate your stories to the small screen.
