We are just 11 days to the theatrical release of The Hunger Games and as promo for the movie moves into high gear, it would appear that all of the stops are being pulled out to make The Hunger Games a big hit. Actor Wes Bentley, who plays Head Gamemaker Seneca Crane in The Hunger Games, is featured in the new issue of Flaunt magazine. In addition to a semi-interesting interview, Bentley loses some of his clothing for the accompanying photospread. Click below to get your first look at Wes and his wares in the new issue of Flaunt.
On comparing The Hunger Games to the Roman Empire: “[Suzanne Collins] use Roman names and I couldn’t help but feel this was the fall of the Roman Empire, with these outlying districts – territories that were fed up with their treatment and bound to rebel against the leader.”
On his character Seneca Crane: “[He is] part techie madmen, part reality TV producer, part playboy showman for the Capitol, and a celebrity of sorts. Things are happening around him that he doesn’t even recognize – he desensitizes to the furthest extreme.”
On the resurgence of his career: “I feel really fired up and there was a reason I didn’t have that feeling when I was younger. I’m glad that I can realize that through all the mess. I was waiting for the right moment, and that moment is now.
Look, I am already gonna see The Hunger Games, I’m prolly gonna see The Hunger Games repeatedly … there is no need to resort to near male nudity to get me interested … but it sure don’t hurt. I honestly haven’t really thought about Wes Bentley much since he starred in 2001′s American Beauty. It’s nice that his career is taking off again … and what better vehicle to reemerge on the scene than one of the year’s biggest, most-anticipated films. Clothes on or off, I’m down so … bring it on, Wes :) 11 days, y’all. Are you dying of excitement yet?
