Kylie Minogue Announces The First Concert Dates Of Her Upcoming ‘Anti Tour’

First Up, OZ

Last month we learned that Aussie pop queen Kylie Minogue is planning the release of a new album next year and over the weekend, we saw photos of Kylie thrilling Sydney, Australia at Sydney Mardi Gras. Today we learn that Kylie has announced the first two dates of her upcoming Anti Tour. Kylie has promised fans that she is planning an “anti tour” that will be made up of rare songs, b-sides and other non-singles that she has recorded in her 25 year career but never gets to perform live in concert. The Anti Tour is officially a go … click below to find out where in the world the tour will start.

After much speculation the word is out – Kylie’s announced her first Anti tour shows in Melbourne and Sydney later this month!

Sunday 18th March 2012 The Palace, 20-30 Bourke St., Melbourne
Tuesday 20th March 2012 The Big Top, Luna Park, Sydney

Small, intimate, unexpected. A unique experience, for super fans only. Kylie and her band performing those songs you thought you’d never hear live! The flipside to a huge “Kylie production”, a once in a lifetime chance and a night to remember. Tickets on sale NOON Wednesday 7 March (Sydney time) via kylie.com and frontiertouring.com/kylie. Numbers are strictly limited. These shows will sell out.

Sigh. I am both really excited and really bummed out by this news. Excited because these shows will be AMAZING and once in a lifetime experiences. Any Kylie fan would DIE to attend just one. I’m bummed out because, as I understand it, there will be NO US dates for Kylie Anti Tour 2012. With David’s and my crazy travel schedule this year (with 8 weddings looming), it is very unlikely that we will get to leave the country to see Kylie on tour this year. Sigh. Hopefully there will be a DVD release at some point. At least I can take comfort in the fact that some of YOU will be able to attend these shows. Again … I say, sigh.

I am sure Kylie will be recording these for a future CD/DVD release for all of us who won’t be able to see it live. Which would be awesome. Fingers crossed.
