‘On The Road’ Releases A First Movie Poster

Plus New Promo Photos Hit the Internets

Back in February of 2011, we got our first look at the young cast of the film version of Jack Kerouac‘s classic novel On the Road. In March of that same year, we got to see another promo photo from the film. Today we get to check out the film’s first movie poster as well as a few more posters from On the Road. The film won’t hit theaters until later this year but right now, we get a sneak peek of what’s to come.

This poster and the promo photos below come courtesy of the official Facebook profile for On the Road. And while I’m quite concerned about Kristen Stewart‘s casting, I have high hopes that this film version of Kerouac‘s amazing novel will turn out well:

I can’t even tell you how many times I’ve read On the Road. It is one of those books you can read over and over and over again and it will still be as exciting the 15th time you read it as it was the 1st time. I know the movie version won’t be able to live up to the original source material, after all … no film can really outdo the book version. But I do hope that care was taken to do the book justice as much as possible. We’ll see. For now, I’ll be cautiously optimistic.

  3. I love On The Road, it’s really such a great book. I have no idea how they’re gonna do the movie, but I like the look of the images released so far. Can’t wait for a trailer! Any news of a release date?
