First we heard that actress Demi Moore was rehabbing for substance abuse at the Cirque Lodge in Utah, then we heard that she was NOT in Utah but in a rehab treatment center elsewhere. Today we are hearing that Demi isn’t even rehabbing anymore … according to new reports, she has checked herself out of her treatment program and is now sunning her buns on holiday in the Caribbean. Hmmm. Where in the world is Ms. Demi Moore?
Demi Moore has left Utah’s Cirque Lodge. Sources exclusively confirm to E! News that the Margin Call star has checked out of rehab at the celeb-favored treatment center. As we first reported, Moore went to Cirque in the days following her brief hospitalization in Los Angeles after she suffered a seizure-like episode during a party at her Benedict Canyon-area home on Jan. 23 … “She’s in no rush to get back to L.A.,” the source says. “She’s on total lockdown and only talking to a small group of people.” Moore’s camp never revealed what prompted her to seek treatment, but our insider says she sought help for both addiction issues and an eating disorder … So, where is she now? E! News has exclusively learned that Moore is hiding out in the Caribbean at one of her favorite spots. Moore was spotted earlier this week on the beach of a private villa near Parrot Cay in the Turks and Caicos Islands, about 550 miles southeast of Miami. “She’s just been chilling out,” a source tells us. The retreat is accessible only by boat and sources say that private security has been working round the clock to keep Moore’s sojourn as private as possible … It’s unclear who accompanied Moore—she reportedly jetted to Turks and Caicos in the days following her split from Kutcher last year, as well—but E! News can confirm that none of her daughters made the trip with her … Moore’s rep had no comment.
I suppose it’s a good thing that Demi is well enough to leave rehab and sneak off to a quiet little island in the Caribbean to continue her recovery but … we have so little information about what is really going on that it’s impossible to totally believe that she is doing OK. I’d like to give her the benefit of the doubt and assume that her discharge from rehab means that she is doing better. Whether she recuperates at home or on vacation is irrelevant … as long as she is serious about taking care of her health, that is all that matters. We’ll see. I feel so bad for the way that her soon-to-be ex-husband Ashton Kutcher treated her. I know Demi is a strong woman. I really hope that she will be able to get a handle on her demons and get her life back in order.0
