It is being reported today that Lady Gaga will be making her big screen debut in the upcoming film, Men In Black sequel. The news was first announced by a Brazilian movie news website where it was claimed that Will Smith leaked the information during a promotional trip to Rio last week. It hasn’t been confirmed but Will reportedly told the Brazilian site, ElCorilloRD.com, “We have a couple of celebrity cameos, but I cannot reveal who they are. We must keep as a surprise that Lady Gaga appears.” Hmm…
Men in Black first came out in 1997 and then the first sequel was released in 2002. This third Men In Black starrng Will Smith, Josh Brolin, Tommy Lee Jones and Emma Thompson as the alien-fighting secret agents, was set for a May 2012 release. This means that filming and post production will already be complete and it will be in the final stages of finalization now.
So, breaking down Will’s supposed statement, “We must keep as a surprise that Lady Gaga appears” it seems to me that maybe there has been some language barrier breakdown and this could be the reason for the rumor. I do think it is slightly bizarre that cameos haven’t been mentioned before, but I guess they could have been keeping the celebrity guest appearances as a surprise to boost the PR for the film? Today the news has also been reported by movie site, IMDb, so maybe it is not just a rumor. I’m assuming that Lady Gaga will make her cameo appearance as an alien, which is pretty hilarious casting! We will have to wait to see if this is in fact true…
As if MIB3 wasn’t going to be bad enough. Won’t be seeing it for sure now!

I don’t think this sounds very credible. I doubt he would say he needs to keep something a secret…while at the same time revealing that secret!
I didn’t see the 2nd film, so I am really indifferent either way.
