Kevin Federline has been in Australia the past few months filming the reality weight loss show, Excess Baggage. He had a few health scares and a suspected heart attack, and now while he focuses on getting healthy, he is also making time to prioritize his sons’ upbringing and make some life decisions about how he wants them to grow up. K-Fed has decided that when his sons turn 16 he wants to send them to work at McDonalds so that they have a normal life. His boys, who he had with our dear Britney Spears, are now 6 and 5 years, so they have about 10 years before they’ll be flipping burgers and frying fries at Micky D’s.
K-fed spoke to an Australian newspaper about how he and Britney have agreed on how they want their boys, Jayden James and Sean Preston to grow up…
“Now we’ve both agreed – this is it, they are going to be at school (and) learn … what it’s like to be part of society as a normal kid. Preston and Jayden have missed out on so much of that with me and their mum being so busy all the time…I’ll have them working at Micky D’s…That’s how we had to do it! I worked at a car wash, I worked at a pizza place. Things like that made me..I can be in this business now and I’m still the same person I am back then, because I know what I want out of life and how to treat people.”
I think it is great that K-Fed wants his boys to grow up as grounded normal kids. Working as a teenager is an important part of growing up and learning about the real world IMHO, especially for kids that could have endless amounts of money available to them if they wanted. It is so good to see that Kevin and Brit want them to learn about money and work for what they want, rather than get it handed to them on a silver platter. I really do think that it is good to see K-Fed back on track, looking after himself and his family.
