Early last week we got to see cute photos of new parents Beyoncé and Jay-Z enjoying a night out in NYC without their newborn daughter Blue Ivy. As you may recall, the couple were seated court side at Madison Square Garden watching the NY Knicks defeat the NJ Nets. Today we get to see new photos of B-Jay out together again in public … but this time they have some precious cargo with them. Bey, Jay and baby Blue Ivy were spotted out and about here in NYC this weekend … enjoying their first family outing in public together.
Beyoncé appeared every bit the doting mother as she cradled her daughter Blue Ivy Carter during a lunch outing [this weekend] in New York. It was the first time the newborn has been seen in public and her mother made sure to protectively wrap her arms around the infant. The singer dressed casually in black leather trousers, sunglasses and boots. She wore a black cap on her head to keep warm. Blue Ivy was wrapped in a black baby blanket, with what appeared to be a black scarf covering her face. Beyoncé was accompanied by husband Jay-Z and a team of bodyguards who kept close watch over the family as they emerged from Sant Ambroeus cafe and espresso bar in the West Village. Eyewitnesses say the new mother wasn’t feeling well and the family left after only 30 minutes.
Aww … I love it. The family is finally starting to act like a regular family. I had assumed that Beyoncé and Jay-Z were planning to keep Blue Ivy hidden away from public sight for many months before any of us got to see what she looked like (much like Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon did when they gave birth to their twins … we didn’t see what those babies looked like until months after they were born). They surprised the hell out of me earlier this month when they released the first photos of Blue. Now that they seem comfortable taking her out in public, it would appear that they really aren’t interested in hiding her away. I guess this means that we will be seeing much more of Blue Ivy in the coming weeks and months … tho, we may have to wait for the weather to warm up a bit before we get to see her cute little face ;)
