‘How To Make It In America’ Star Bryan Greenberg Is Releasing New Music Soon

A lot of people I speak to don’t know who Bryan Greenberg is, but they might have seen a few episodes of How to Make it in America, the HBO series from the guys behind Entourage, or noticed that he was one of the stars of Friends With Benefits, with Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis. Bryan was also in Bride Wars, with Anna Hathaway and Kate Hudson, and The Good Guy. I was surprised when I heard a few people question who he was. Sadly, How to make it in America was canned last year, but it seems that Bryan has been focusing on his music of late. He tweeted to his fans this morning that we should expect to see some new tunes from him soon.

I was a big fan of How to Make it in America, the show about two enterprising Brooklyn twenty somethings hustling their way through New York City. Mark Wahlberg was behind this almost east coast version of Entourage and I have to say, I was disappointed when the show was canned late last year. I thought the show had a real NYC edge and I loved the down and dirty characters.

Bryan hasn’t disappeared though, it seems he is now focusing more on his music. He tweeted just a few moments ago, “Still busy in the studio. But my new music is really starting to come together. Hopefully I can get you all a taste soon!”

His debut album was ‘Waiting For Now’ and he had a new one out in 2011, ‘We Don’t Have Forever.’ Bryan’s tweet today implies that he is working on possibly a third album. His last album featured a collaboration with his How to Make It In America co-star, Kid Cudi with the track, ‘You Can Run’. Bryan has an acoustic, indie-rock sound but I have to say, it is impressive that he collaborated with Kid Cudi. I also love seeing this other side to Kid.. Check out a video of them performing live in NYC at The Highline Ballroom.

Will you be tuning in to see what Bryan’s new music will be?

I have been a fan of his since OTH as well and was upset when How to Make It was cancelled. I actually saw him perform a small acoustic show in nyc a few years ago but was disappointed by how boring the performance was :/.

  • Ellen

He was also in the movie Prime w/ Uma Thurman. He was very good. Bryan is a very underrated actor.
