They were married from 2000 to 2003 and during that time, Angelina Jolie and Billy Bob Thornton were known as the couple with the intense, sometimes strange, union. Now, Angelina is the long-term partner of Brad Pitt, and many of us have forgotten all about the Angelina-Billy Bob couple. Today we have learned that Ange has written the forward to her ex’s new memoir, The Billy Bob Tapes: A Cave Full of Ghosts. What do you make of this?
Billy’s memoir has been co-written with country music singer and author Kinky Friedman. According to it’s description on Amazon, the memoir is about, “colorful tales of his modest (to say the least) Southern upbringing, his bizarre phobias (komodo dragons?), his life, his loves (including his heartbreakingly brief marriage to fellow Oscar winner Angelina Jolie), and, of course, his movie career.”
It all sounds like it could be a fascinating read, but the bit of interest right now is his relationship with Angelina given that she has penned the forward to his book. Interestingly, their relationship is described in the Amazon blurb as “heartbreakingly brief,” in it’s 3 years. Do you remember how Angelina and Billy Bob wore vials of each others blood around their necks? They weren’t exactly the most conventional of couples, but when things ended for Angelina and Billy in 2003 he moved quickly onto a new relationship, with make-up artist, Connie Angland, and Ange got together with Brad in 2005. Now that Ange has written the forward for Billy’s new book, the questions emerge about how their relationship ended because it certainly seems very amicable now, or I couldn’t imagine that Ange would want to, or agree to, write the memoir’s forward.
I haven’t read what she has written but I have to tell you, I am fascinated to read it. Ange seemed like a very different woman then to who she is now, as Brad’s partner and a mother to 6 children. She even looks so different now… did you see the old pic above of Ange when she was back with Billy Bob?
What do you think Brad or Billy Bob’s new love, Connie, think of Ange writing the forward to the memoir?
