Earlier today we learned that Britney Spears was in attendance at the IOC World Conference On Women And Sport — which is devoted to the advancement of female athletes — and right now we learn that one of our fave male athletes, David Beckham, was in attendance at a different sports award event. Becks and his youngest son Cruz David made an appearance at the 2nd Annual Cartoon Network Hall of Game Awards so that Becks could collect the Most Stylish Athlete award. Becks and his sons — Brooklyn Joseph, Romeo James and Cruz — also attended this weekend an LA Lakers basketball game at the Staples Center for a bit male bonding while Victoria and Harper Seven Beckham are in England for London Fashion Week. Yep, it’s been a bizzy weekend for the Beckham boys.
Aside from his wife Victoria, his sons are the most important people in his life and are never far from his side. So it wasn’t at all surprising that David Beckham shared the limelight with his youngest boy Cruz at a children’s award show in L.A this [weekend]. David Beckham beat Dwyane Wade of the NBA’s Miami Heat, Serena Williams and Brian Wilson of the San Francisco Giants baseball team to take home the ‘That’s How I Roll’ award for the most stylish athlete at the 2nd Annual Cartoon Network Hall Of Game Awards. The award was given to him by viewers of the Cartoon Network, whose audience is made up of kids between the ages of two and 17, and Becks took his youngest son Cruz, six, up on stage to accept the award with him. The high-energy event let viewers vote for their favorite sports stars and sports moments of the year and was hosted by basketball legend Shaquille O’Neal. Wearing a checked blue and white shirt jeans and a sporting a quiff, the style icon held Cruz’s hand as he led him into the stage and thanked his young fans for the honor. He was also given the King of the Kick Icon Award.
While his wife Victoria made sure her new collection had a successful launch in London, David Beckham took his three sons for a boys night out. Becks, 36, was accompanied by Brooklyn, 12, Romeo, nine, and Cruz, six, at the Staples Centre where they caught a basketball game between the LA Lakers and the Phoenix Suns. And both David and middle son Romeo were both caught taking in the sights from their courtside seats. Becks and Romeo couldn’t help but stare at one of the Lakers cheerleaders as she sashayed past them. He wore a brown T-shirt with jeans and a pair of shoes, with a wooly hat covering his hair. The foursome looked like they were having a great time, fully engrossed in the game throughout … It’s not the first time the LA Galaxy star has been caught with a wandering eye at a basketball match. In fact, ever since becoming a regular at the Staples Centre it seems David has enjoyed watching the cheerleaders perform their entertaining shows – as any red-blooded male would.
Aww … well, congrats goes out to Becks on his Cartoon Network Hall of Game awards. It sounds like a fun event, one that his young songs very likely enjoyed very much. I also LOVE it when Becks takes the boys out just the 4 of them. Naturally, Vicki B. is gonna want to keep her baby girl Harper Seven with her at all times so … Becks is left home to take care of his sons while VB‘s off hard at work. I am just so impressed with the way Les Beckhams handle their family biz. Posh and Becks make a great team … and clearly their children are the ones to benefit. UGH, so cute.
