Last we were talking about Chloe Sevigny it was to do with her role in the much talked about film, Lovelace. Today I’ve heard that she is going to be returning to the smaller screen with a guest role on NBC’s Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. Shooting is meant to start next week for the episode and apparently Chloe is going to be playing a stay-at-home mom who is attacked and kidnapped. What do you think of this casting?
Chloe has been on that A-list for a while now but she is definitely on the rise. She really earned her place there in her role on HBO’s Big Love, and her Oscar-nominated role opposite Hilary Swank in the phenomenal film, Boys Don’t Cry. She has also been in American Psycho, Shattered Glass, and Zodiac and now the upcoming biopic of porn star Linda Lovelace with a horde of A-list stars including Amanda Seyfried,James Franco and Sarah-Jessica Parker (who replaced Demi Moore at the last minute.)
Despite being an outstanding actress, I have to be honest I don’t quite understand her decision to cameo in Law & Order. I suppose it will be fun to tune in and watch the episode with the same normal characters running around the city solving crimes, and then Chloe Sevingy will happen to be there, but I don’t quite see her as a Law & Order character, the screaming wife being kidnapped.. hmm…
Do you think this is good casting on SVU’s part?
