Last night’s Grammy Awards were understandably colored by the tragic death of our wonderful, Whitney Houston. Trent will continue to update us on this ongoing, and devastating, story. In the midst of all the darkness, as so many people pointed out on the red carpet and at the awards, there is still the need for lightness and color. What better way to celebrate color than by looking at who wore it best. Any award show is as much about celebrating talent as it is about praising fashion’s finest. Did you see what they wore and who looked the best?
One of the most talked about outfits of the night was without a doubt Nicki Minaj… she rocked up on the red carpet in a red hood in the style of Little Red Riding Hood or a red nun’s habit? She even completed the look walking down the red carpet with a pope?! It is not that surprising for eclectic and fashionably outrageous Nicki, but even for her this was a very interesting look. I love Nicki’s fun and fabulous take on fashion, but this for me is a little much. What did you think of this one, is it a winner or loser in the fashion stakes?
I think Fergie would’ve looked better if she wore nude coloured bra and undies, instead of the black. I really liked her look though!
And Adele is just naturally glamorous, so I loved her. :)

Despite what I saw on fashion blogs, I personally think that Katy Perry’s dress was not suiting her.
I agree with Scott – if Fergie had a nude/orange colour underneath her outfit would have been great. the orange looked good on her.
Adele looked classic.

Elie Saab makes gorgeous gowns. It’s too bad Katy Perry can wear them.
Also, Nikki Minaj used to be a big thumbs up for me. Now Nikki Minaj = wtf and pfft.

I just thought I’d point out that ‘crap and shit’ are the same thing, so if she is full of faecal matter (which would be good as it means her digestive system is in order, yay!) you need only use either of the afore-mentioned expletives, not both.
Using both is not hyperbolic, it is just wrong.
