Josh Hutcherson, one of the principal stars of the upcoming big screen adaptation of The Hunger Games, paid a visit to The Ellen DeGeneres Show this week to promote his new film Journey 2: The Mysterious Island. Altho his Ellen appearance was mostly to promote Journey, he did a bit of promo work for The Hunger Games as well. LOL! How cute is this video? Altho I’m still not totally convinced, I am starting to warm up to the idea of Josh in the role of Peeta Mellark in The Hunger Games. I’ll need to see the film in full before I can be totally sure but, yeah, I think he’ll do a good job. As for this prank, well, I think it’s absolute genius. I know I’d prolly flip my shizz if I found a tracker jacker in my bathroom. OY!

The haircut is not doing him ANY favors.
Josh Hutcherson IS Peeta in every way but his physical appearance. And they did a pretty great job making him blonde. I cannot wait to see him in action as Peeta.
He has actually told a much better (more detailed) version of that story in a different interview … now I’m forgetting what interview it was. He described the fake body much better – how it was all purple and bloated and disgusting looking. ;-) That would scare the shizz out of me, that’s for sure.
The more I see of him in interviews, the more I think he will make a really good Peeta. I’m still slightly concerned that he is so tiny (since Jennifer is so tall) LOL, but I think he’ll be good. He has the right personality.
Personally, I think he will be a great Peeta!
