Lana Del Rey Tour Not Canceled According To Her Reps

Yesterday we heard that Lana Del Rey’s U.S. tour — which was due to commence next month — had been canceled on the wake of the strong criticism she received from her Saturday Night Live performance a few weeks ago. Last night news came via MTV that the tour cancellation reports were merely rumors and, in fact, Lana had no Spring tour planned at all. Read below for more details about this messy story.

We first heard about the tour cancellation from the New York Post. But Del Rey’s publicist has since called the Post story “not accurate.” “There has never been a spring tour announced or canceled.”

Yesterday Lana performed in store at Amoeba Music in Hollywood (the pic below is from this event) and her reps are saying that these kind of performances are what are planned for the coming months, not an official tour. These promo shows are not going to stop as she moves across the country in the coming months. In the wake of this news, we are also seeing the results from her album sales. Born to Die has reached No. 2 in the U.S. (second to Adele) and she is No.1 in the U.K.

Lets be honest, ever since Lana arrived in the limelight there has been too many confusing stories, rumors, mixed messages and opinions. The whole thing has turned into a never-ending saga and the poor girl has not been given a break. There has just been too much media spin as well. It is not clear whether she did have a tour planned or not, but one thing is for sure, LDR is not going anywhere just because of some fierce criticism. She may not be officially “on tour”, but she will be performing around the country, like the in-store one she did in L.A. yesterday.

that’s funny. Japanese date is cancelled.

Due to unprecedented international demand we have had to reschedule her plans and consequently have to cancel Lana Del Rey’s show in Tokyo. New plans to perform for her Japanese fans are being discussed and will be announced shortly but all tickets will be refunded for the upcoming Tokyo show and we apologize for any inconvenience caused.

No videos of her performing live and slaying?! BOO! Anyways, future legend, better than your faves, extremely good-looking, if you disagree you’re most likely jealous and should seek self-esteem somewhere, etc.
