News came today that Courteney Cox is adding to the cast of Cougar Town with her ex-husband (and life partner?) David Arquette. He is going to be guest starring in the season 3 finale. Courtney and David have acted together on a few occasions… they did the Scream series, and David appeared on Friends back in 96′. They are both executive producers on the show too.
I have often felt that Courtney’s character, Jules, a recently divorced woman dealing with the aftermath of an ended relationship and thinking about a new one, is a reminder of Court’s own life in some ways. I imagine she can pull experiences and feelings from her own life to impart into Jules. Now, with David set to appear on the series, it makes the blurring between real life and TV even more obscure for me. He is going to be playing the role of a hotel concierge who wants to assist Jules with anything… hmm…

I love these two, and love that they can actually be adults about their breakup. Of course to achieve that, both parties have to be willing to forgive, forget, and move on, and I applaud these two for being able to do that. Their daughter is a lucky little girl.
I was married for 13 years, neither of us hates the other, and we remain friends. I love when Hollywood couples can do the same.
