Rihanna And Chris Brown Hooking Up

We have information from Us Weekly that Rihanna and Chris Brown are ‘hooking up’ and have been for a year. It’s interesting timing for this to have come out now given that the 8th of February will be the 3rd anniversary of the notorious event that was Chris’s assault of Ri-Ri. Could this be true, or is it just a rumor to spark a story?

We’ve been hearing a lot about Rihanna in the past few weeks, but it has all been very positive so far. She looks so gorgeous and happy in the Armani photo shoot. We all remember less happy times for Ri-Ri though. It is hard to believe that the assault was 3 years ago. The time has really flown. Us Weekly seems to have ‘sources’ that confirm that Rihanna and Chris are back together. Whether this is true or not we aren’t sure, but for me it is more interesting to think about if in fact Us Weekly does have the correct information, whether this is a good move for Rihanna? Could Chris really be a reformed man?

“Rihanna loves to live dangerously, and talking to and hooking up with Chris is all part of that,” adds a Rihanna insider. The clandestine relationship isn’t just complicated because of the couple’s violent past; the “Forever” crooner also has a girlfriend, aspiring model Karrueche Tran.

“Living dangerously”? Ugh! This whole thing scares me.

I’m not sure I believe the Us Weekly facts, we’ve also been hearing about Chris’ pretty serious girlfriend, Karreuche Tran. Could it be that he is cheating on her with Ri-Ri? It is not totally unrealistic. If he has truly changed and left behind his violent ways (which I would like to believe but my cynical voice says is unlikely), and Rihanna and Chris are happy together then I say we should be in full support, I just get nervous about a violent past staying in the past… I don’t want to see Rihanna being hurt again so maybe it is better if she stays away.

Do you think Us Weekly is just spreading a rumor?

Check out the pics below of the couple in PA times (pre-assault). These were taken back in 2008 and Rihanna and Chris do look very happy together partying and hanging out together… Could they be happy again together now or is this another path to destruction?

If you’re not sure it’s true then why report on it?

  • Mr. Spears

    @Max – Ummm because it’s a gossip website?

    • Sandy

Ah, But Trent has already posted stuff like this in Les News.

    • AmandaNikita

Exactly. Why report the exact same story when there is no new solid information about the speculation?

  • Lila

I’m so surprised that ANYONE would support this pairing :-/ I mean, he beat her.

    • Ash

Totally agree. “I say we should be in full support” – seriously, Melissa?

    • @Ash — Yes, I’m afraid I must agree, too. I will never, EVER be in support of this abusive relationship :(

    • Jstar

Agree as well, I would never support this union…NEVER!

    • AmandaNikita

Did she seriously write that (I can’t bother to read these articles)? What the hell, Melissa…

    • @AmandaNikita – Thank you for all your comments. I have been reading each and everyone of them. Thanks for creating conversation and a debate.

    • Julie

Totally agree with Lila and Ash – WTF? “Full support”?! Melissa just keeps getting worse and worse…

    • @Ash – thanks for the comments, I really appreciate them. I am in NO way supporting an abusive relationship… quite the opposite. If this is true and I were a close friend of Rihanna, I would be telling her to be cautious and to put her safety and wellbeing above all else. I only think that it is good to believe in the ability for human beings to change and reform themselves. If Chris has seeked help and is trying to better himself, If she can forgive him, I think we can too..

  • Ama

If it happened once it could happen again. I hope it isn’t true.

  • kriss_t

I believe they may be hooking up. It would be awesome if you could just lose your feelings for someone and never want to see them again after abuse, but it just doesn’t seem to work like that. I suspect their relationship was very tumultuous and passionate when they were together, and because of the intense scrutiny after the assault, not much chance for closure leaving all those emotions unsettled.

Or they just really like doing each other. Each to their own.

Any and all people with a conscious should not support Chris Brown in ANYTHING EVER AGAIN! Once a woman beater ALWAYS a woman beater! His name shouldn’t be associated with anything from the day the pic of Rihanna’s beaten up face came out. I no longer listen to any of his music and must change the radio station if I as so much hear his voice! His actions since that day haven’t gone anywhere is clearing his bad name my eyes. He should rot in HELL for all eternity!

    • blaqfury

Rhianna hit her younger brother in the face with a glass bottle during an argument… where are the pitchforks… lets stop supporting her….

oh yeah i forgot, in America we only demonize the male when he hits a female and ignore/justify when women hit men.

I don’t codone what Chris did, but i sure as hell am not going to waste energy being mad at someone i’ve never and probably will never meet, especially if Rhianna could careless. She’s forgiven him, so the best to both of them, imo…

    • AmandaNikita

Can you please supply sources/more information on that story? Not once did I hear about this…

Though I agree it is horrible for a woman to hit a man and actually cause harm (especially with a weapon), the fact is that men are more often a hell of a lot stronger and will cause much more physical damage.

Also agree that if she doesn’t care, why should we? It’s sending a horrible message to any woman who has gone through physical abuse, especially as a role model to young girls.

    • blaqfury

just google rhianna, brother & glass bottle, a bunch of links will come up. rhianna’s the one who told the story where she admits they get into physical violent fights

    • AmandaNikita

@blaqfury I do believe it happened, I’m just surprised it’s not mentioned more often. I’m not a big fan of hers, and that knowledge certainly doesn’t help.

  • jo

I doubt there ever was a true “pre assault” time sadly…

  • US Weekly is one of the few reliable magazines so I’m definitely thinking this is true.

  • kali

I really hope this is true. People hate Chris Brown, and I get it – he did something horrible. For anyone to be shunned, blacklisted and openly ridiculed/harassed daily for three years (I followed him on twitter for awhile) to come back and have what could arguably be the best year of their career is something I bet nine out of ten people could not do. He alienated a lot of people through his actions, yet has somehow received a shot at redemption from those willing to forgive the guy. If this is true, rest assured he will never lay a hand on Rhianna again, and I’m pretty positive she’ll think twice about hitting him, or any other dude as a way to solve an argument. Sometimes you have to learn things the hard way, and I think (I hope) they both have.

    • AmandaNikita

I hate Chris Brown because he’s a douchebag, which I felt before this incident. I have to strongly disagree with you that because someone did well in their career does not relieve him or cause him to deserve forgiveness.

    • kali

@AmandaNikitia – Use your words sweetie ” because he’s a douchebag ” tells me a lot about you, but not so much about Chris Brown. Hate Chris Brown, hate everyone – it’s all good.

    • AmandaNikita

@kali It’s very rare I would make such a bleak statement, I just assumed most people here would have heard enough about the man, or read enough of what he’s said that I wouldn’t need to back it up. I’ve formed a negative opinion on him on the basis of hearing him speak, he is pretentious and self-righteous, and to me that makes him a douchebag. I don’t spew out opinions based on nothing, and to begin your comment by sarcastically belittling me also tells me a lot about you.

  • lisa

Idk they have been not so secretly tweeting “love” to each other which is weird…BUT he did just get his gf’s face tatted on his arm… so who knows with these two.

    • nicole

it wasnt his gf’s face. i read that it was some character from something…and she had happened to post a picture posed as that character too or something like that. but its not his gf on his arm

    • Shavonne

I remember the tweets, and she’s been frighteningly supportive of him for awhile now. I can see this being true, but it doesn’t mean it’s right.

  • Britt

I take anything Us Weekly reports with a grain of salt. I hope it’s not true.

    • @Britt — I, too, hope it’s not true. Ugh … I can’t even comment on this ;(

  • Shannon

If it is true and it happens again it’s her own fault. I do not condone violence against women. But as a woman myself.. If im hitting you I expect to be hit back. No one should ever lay their hands on anyone else

    • Meagan

I agree. What he did was terrible but who knows how she was acting behind closed doors. I can’t help but think that she may have been overly aggressive at times too… She seems very strong headed. Still doesn’t make it okay by any means obviously, but I don’t think we will ever have enough info to be able to fully judge the fact that they may have reconciled. Regardless though, two people that have been in a physically violent relationship should definitely stay away from each other so as not to enable or influence that kind of behavior, because maybe its something that that particular person brings out in the other due to the nature of their personalities within the relationship.

  • AmandaMarie

It’s not like she’s any less violent… I truly don’t agree with what he did but I truly don’t agree with how harassed and demonized he’s been portrayed since it happened. It’s not fair for anyone. If you want to see someone get better, ridiculing and making them feel bad isn’t the way to do it. Support and honest belief they’re trying is much more successful. I don’t agree with the action but I absolutely disagree with how he’s been treated because of it.

  • J

Us Weekly? I highly doubt that source. Didn’t anyone see the interview where she said she would never go back to him again because of the message it would send to her fans because some “were young girls”. I believe her.

  • cutitout

When does Rihanna have the time? She’s been on tour for 65 years, she drops an album every 4 months. I call foul, slow news week.
