Who Is The Face Of The New Balenciaga Fragrance?

I will give you a clue… her character’s name has ‘beauty’ in it and a bird which is very beautiful, and she is most well known for playing this role in supernatural romance fantasy films based on a series of novels…

Kristen Stewart has been named as the face of the new Balenciaga fragrance for women, which will be coming out in fall. She’s most known for her role as Bella Swan in the Twilight saga, which came out in 2008, but before that she had roles in Panic Room, Cold Creek Manor, Into the Wild and Jumper.

Nicolas Ghesquiere, the Creative Director of Balenciaga, said that, “Kristen Stewart embodies the modernity of the new Balenciaga fragrance with her unique sensibility and intelligence. From her early appearance in Panic Room to her independent choice of Welcome to the Rileys, I’ve always sensed her progressive character. In 2006, I invited her to appear in a project shot by Bruce Weber. Since then, I’ve always wished to collaborate with her further, knowing that she shares the radical spirit of Balenciaga.”

This is a great step forward for Kristen. Who would have thought that Twilight would lead to Balenciaga? I do see the “radical spirit” in her, that slightly irreverent and I-don’t-care sense of self. Is this what he calls “progressive character?” Im not sure about that, but she certainly has a very pretty face and will give the fragrance an edgy, young vibe – which is probably exactly what they’re after…

Melissa, I am definitely adjusting to your writing, but can you please shorten your posts a little? I mean, we don’t need Kristen Stewart’s entire film history, I think we know who she is by now.

She was quoting Nicolas Ghesquiere, just like Trent quotes people all of the time in his posts!

Leave Melissa along she is going a fantastic job!

Well, at least everyone has jumped from criticizing Kristen and now they are criticizing Melissa… Sorry Mel! I think you are great, keep up the good work! And thanks for posting about Kristen here, she is a beautiful model, it’s overlooked often but she’s going to be a great face to this campaign!
