First Look: ‘Skyfall’ Releases A HOT New James Bond Promo Photo

Back in April of last year, we learned that a new James Bond film was on the way. Today we get our first look at the first officially released photo from the new film Skyfall. Once again, actor Daniel Craig will portray secret agent Bond and, as you can see in the photo below, he is not shy about showing off his assets. Craig famously stripped down to a teeny swimsuit in his James Bond film Casino Royale … clearly, it’s a look that he is happy to rock again for this new film.

Daniel Craig won a legion of fans when he was pictured emerging from the ocean in a pair of Speedos. And it seems the producers of the new James Bond film Skyfall have decided to take the same approach to promotion, as the first still shows the hunk posing in the almost identical trunks next to a swimming pool. The picture was taken during filming at the fancy Four Seasons Hotel in London, but while it is the first photograph to come from movie many fans of the series are eager to see something a bit more action packed. Nevertheless it shows that Daniel has managed to get back into the amazing shape that was the hallmark of the rugged, physical Bond he has portrayed since 2006′s Casino Royale. His back and arms are literally rippling with muscles as he takes a well-earned rest poolside. Daniel’s condition is even more impressive when the fact he is now 43-years-old, relatively old for an action movie star. His first appearance in a pair of Speedos was crucial to him winning over dubious fans, who had tagged him James Bland when he was first announced in 2005. After claims he was afraid of water, hated guns, and could not even drive a manual car, photos of him prancing around the beach in his trunks helped almost literally turn the tide of negative reaction. Whether leaking a picture of the MI6 agent in a water based environment offers a foreshadowing of what lies store in the $200m 23rd film in the franchise certainly offers fans food for thought. It certainly invites the exciting prospect that Skyfall could feature the sort of underwater action that featured in series classics Thunderball and The Spy Who Loved Me. Very little is known about what is going to happen in the latest film. The current mysterious synopsis says James Bond’s loyalty to M is challenged over secrets from her past. And when MI6 is attacked, it falls to Bond to seek out and eliminate the threat regardless of the cost to himself. This storyline could mean it will be the last Bond to feature Dame Judi Dench as the spy’s boss.

Daniel Craig is my fave Bond ever and it has absolutely NOTHING to do with how good he looks in his teeny weeny bikini (OK, maybe it has *something* to do with his bikini physique but still …). I am really excited that we have a new film on the way. This photo is hot but it doesn’t give too much away … it’s just enough to get people talking (and looking). I approve and I anxiously await getting to see MORE from Skyfall. What do you James Bond fans think? Are you excited by this?
