Paris Hilton Continues To Threaten The Release Of Her ‘House Album’

About a year ago, back in February of 2011, Paris Hilton announced that she would be releasing her second music album with the “next few months”. Then, back in September — after the album did NOT come out — we learned that Paris started shadowing superstar DJs all around the world so that she could become a DJ herself … then she decided that her next album will be a House Music album. Today we learn that Paris is still planning the release of that album, whether we like it or not :/

If you care to cast your mind back to March 2009, you might remember an amusing ‘incident’ that happened between Steve Angello and Paris Hilton during the Miami Winter Music Conference. The Swedish House Mafia don didn’t take kindly to the hotel heiress’s request for “one good song”, and a scuffle ensued (“Don’t come into a booth and ask me to play hip hop and then have your doorman slap me,” quipped Angello on Twitter). Not long after, Paris was up to her old tricks again, getting local star Sam La More kicked off the decks in Beirut for not playing hip hop. All which leads us to a New Year in which Paris Hilton is regrettably still in the public eye and even more regrettably pushing on with plans to make a “house album”. It’s her life-long infatuation, you see. “I have a huge passion for house music,” Hilton told lad’s mag FHM in its latest issue. “It always has been my passion. I just haven’t been able to focus on it, because I have been doing reality TV for so long now.” It turns out all those private jets with Afrojack and VIP sections in Vegas have given her an invaluable insight into all things house. “I’ve been working on the album with lots of other top DJs for a while now and I think people will be really surprised,” she went on. “There are just so many great DJs right now. And I should know, I’ve been to over 100 raves in the past year, so I’ve heard every type of music.” One man you can always count on to arc up about crimes against house music is DJ Sneak – and he ain’t endorsing Paris. “Pure BullShat!” Sneak wrote on his Facebook overnight. “House Gangsters Do Not accept this. I’ve been in it for 20 years to know and talk on this, this will be short lived, and BTW they are not representing CHICAGO HOUSE MUSIC. this EURO POP shit has got to GO!” Good to clear that up.

Oh lord. Despite the fact that Paris *may* have had one or two kinda OK songs on her debut album, I really doubt there is *any* need for her to put out a second album … especially now, so many years apart from when anyone really cared about anything that she does. My guess is that her plan last year to release her album got squashed when it was apparent that no one really wanted a new album from her. It seems to me that she came up with a new plan to become a DJ in the hopes that the change in music might make a new album from her more appealing. Yeah … no. I suppose Paris gets some credit for her perseverance … but definitely no credit for her continued insistance on becoming a music star.

“And I should know, I’ve been to over 100 raves in the past year, so I’ve heard every type of music.”

Ummmm CLEARLY she hasnt been to many raves if she thinks there are raves for every genre of music. Raves are just electronic music and its different subgenres – ie uplifting trance, progressive trance, house, d&b, etc. Also (true) raves dont have a VIP section and i doubt she would set foot in something that was *gasp* general admission

God help us. Can this woman not just accept that no one cares anymore? I mean, they shouldn’t have cared in the first place, so she should be grateful and just give it up already. On the bright side, I can’t wait until this happens to the Kardashians (Kim especially).

Has she ever earned anything through hard work and respect?

hey – if she wants to invest the time & money into this flop, then by all means! i think she’s starting to get desperate since she’s no longer “exciting” in the public eye. do you remember when heidi montag released her album stating that “it’ll be bigger than the thriller album” and didn’t make any of her money back… i think this is the same kind of scenario. and @amandanikita – i’m also looking forward to the day that the kardashian clan is not cared about anymore… but then we’ll be onto the next twit and the cycle will continue :/

I don’t care what people say, I liked a few of her songs.

Uhh…so I was the only one who had “Stars are Blind” on repeat for that entire summer she released it? Definitely not a Paris fan, but what makes her any worse than any other mindless auto-tuned cookie-cutter pop star we usually have to listen to? Let’s not kid ourselves- most pop music is nothing but loud noises and a catchy hook. She’s obviously capable of doing that.

    • Ummm

Star are blind – terrific song!

You’re not alone cmc, Stars Are Blind was a great tune, as were a few other cuts on the cd!
