Actor Nick Cannon, who is married to singer Mariah Carey, is back home, after being released from an L.A. hospital. Cannon, 31, was being treated for kidney failure. He is now resting and recovering at home, according to a spokesperson. Cannon says he hopes to return to his live radio show sometime next week. Carey Tweeted her thanks to their fans for their support: “Up w/NC watching@BishopJakes -a true inspiration as always. Nick is getting better+we love+appreciate all the ongoing kind words!” Cannon underwent surgery last Friday. After the procedure, he tweeted: “Just left the operating table and I was awake during the whole procedure. #OUCH” Carey also posted on her own Twitter account, saying, “Nick is in stable condition with a good prognosis, hopefully he’ll be discharged within 2 days. As always he’s laughing and in good spirits.” Cannon was first hospitalized in Aspen, Colo., where he and Carey were spending the holidays with their twin babies. Carey posted on her website that Cannon was suffering “mild kidney failure.” “We’re trying to be as festive as possible under the circumstances but please keep Nick in your thoughts because this is very painful,” Carey wrote. “They tried to kick me out of the hospital but here I am pon de bed with Mr. C.” She included a picture of her by her husband’s side. Last Wednesday, Cannon tweeted: “Currently being transfered to a hospital in LA. Thank you all for all your love, prayers and concern. You know me… I will be a’ight”
Just a few hours ago, Mariah tweeted this message to fans:
Daddy Nick is getting beter, we’re all home together taking care of each other, excited about the new year!!
Aww, this is great news. It’s really scary when someone close to you gets this dangerously sick so suddenly so I’m certain that Mariah is thrilled to have Nick recovering at home with her. I’m also quite certain that the couple’s twin babies, Monroe and Moroccan Scott, are happy to have their daddy home as well. Let’s keep our best thoughts for Nick and his speedy recovery. Sometimes the best medicine after surgery is the love and support of one’s family … in one’s home … in one’s own bed ;) Get well soon, Nick!!0
