Every year, Mariah Carey makes her way to Aspen, CO to celebrate the Xmas/New Year holidays. When she started dating then eventually married Nick Cannon, he joined in on her annual pilgrimage to Aspen. Last year, Mimi and Nick gave birth to their twin babies Monroe and Moroccan Scott so, naturally, they too get to spend their holidays in Colorado. They just look so happy, don’t they? As you may recall, Mimi chose to feature Dem Babies on the family’s Xmas card this year so it’s quite clear that she is OVER THE MOON being a mother. It’s funny, for many years Mariah used to hang solo in Aspen for the holidays and we’ve been able to watch her family grow in the past few years. There is something to be said for traditions like this. Next year, I suspect we’ll see photos of Dem Toddlers walking around Aspen with their parents … then they’ll grow into Dem Teenagers and, well, you know how the story goes. Thus far, it looks like a Happy New Year for Mimi, Nick and the kiddies. Here’s to a healthy and prosperous 2012 ahead.

The only things I know about MC and NC are the things I read on your blog. I remember when they got together, speculation was that it couldn’t last. But they really do look happy – beyond “camera happy.” KWIM?
