Here is a last Xmas present for all you fans of Channing Tatum, Joe Manganiello and male strippers in general … the first promo image from the upcoming film Magic Mike has been released. As you may know, Magic Mike is a film based on Tatum‘s real life adventures as a male stripper (back before he was a big movie star) and it stars a host of hot male actors (including Tatum, Manganiello, Alex Pettyfer, Matthew McConaughey, Matt Bomer and others). Dramatic Comedy. Set in the world of male strippers, “Magic Mike” is directed by Steven Soderbergh and stars Channing Tatum (“Dear John,” “Step Up”) in a story inspired by his real life. The film follows Mike (Tatum) as he takes a young dancer called The Kid (Pettyfer) under his wing and schools him in the fine arts of partying, picking up women, and making easy money.

Folks, this will be THE film of the coming year … mark my words. Back in September, Joe Manganiello revealed that he is very comfortable getting nekkid on camera (mainly because of his mostly nekkid role on True Blood) so it is my hope that the producers of Magic Mike make him very, very, very comfortable ;) Mark your calendars, y’all … Magic Mike hits theaters next July 4th. In the meantime, tho, I hope we get to see more promo images like this in the coming weeks and months leading up to the film’s release. Woot!!
