The new 6th season of the gritty UK TV series Skins is about to debut on E4 and to promote the upcoming new season, a new promo image of the cast and the first teaser trailer for the season has been released. As you may recall, the HORRIBLE US version of Skins died a painful (to watch) death back in June (thankfully) but the far superior original UK version of the series is still going strong. Those of you familiar with the Skins series know that the show features 2 seasons of the same cast of characters before they introduce an entirely new cast. This 6th season of Skins features the 3rd cast for the 2nd time … get it? In any event, I’m a big fan of the cast changes every other year and I actually quite like the current cast. Here is the first teaser trailer released for the upcoming season … watch carefully, what do YOU see?
Skins fansites are all abuzz about a potential death they see (or think they see) in this trailer. I, for one, am just more excited to watch what happens in the new season. Because it will be the last season to feature this cast, it’s totally understandable that one of the characters might be killed off. I know there aren’t a lot of Skins fans here in the US, which is unfortunate, but I know many of you readers are fans so … enjoy these new Skins goodies. I’m really looking forward to seeing more from Skins!

Huge Fan from the Great White North here. With the season end of Misfits, this has made me very happy! How will I get my fill of awesome UK slang otherwise? May have to do a little NYE marathon of the last season to refresh my memory on these kids.
@canaussiegirl — I love you so much :) I totally feel the same … the end of MisFits was gut-wrenching but I really enjoyed this past 3rd season. I am really looking forward to more Skins soon :D

On the misfits front, I’m so upset that Antonia and Iwan aren’t coming back for Series 4. However, I’m kind of loving Rudy (and the other Rudy), so I look forward to what he’ll (they’ll? lol) get up to!
OMG! I LOVE MISFITS!!!! I still can’t watch the last fifteen minutes without crying. :( Brits don’t have problem killing popular characters do they? I LOVED Alisha and Simon together and Iwan Rheon is toooooo yummy. I’ve heard some rumors of an American version of Misfits. You would think they’d have learned their lesson with US Skins.

I’ve been meaning to look up the when the new episodes aired, but I knew you’d post about it. I’m excited to see this cast, it’s hard getting used to a new one. I’m with canaussiegirl, marathon time.

Any tips on where to view the episodes in the US? I watched all the last season on youtube, but that was sort of a pain. Any tips would be appreciated– I love this show soooooo much!
As people have said, they’re available to stream on Netflix, and of course the DVDs are a available to purchase.
‘Skins’ is my all-time favorite TV drama, so this is so goddamn exciting! I knew the new season was coming in January, but still!

You do have to pay after a few free viewings depending on what video site you use to watch. I use videobb. It’s 9.99 a month I think, but it’s worth it because you get to watch a LOT of shows you normally wouldn’t get to. Plus, I personally think netflix is a bit crappy, slow videos and all. Although it could just be my crap laptop.

Skins is great! I really liked the first season of the 3rd generation. I’m excited to see the new episodes. The second series of the 2nd gen wasn’t the best so I was glad for the refresh.
I haven’t had a chance to watch any of the latest Misfits episodes. I’m very ashamed of myself, lol! Another really fantastic show starts soon in the UK, series 2 of Sherlock. I am SOOOO excited about that.

I really didn’t like series 5 and I’m not really looking forward to series 6… That being said, now that I live in Bristol (where the show is filmed) it is so much more fun to watch!
