First Look: ‘G.I. Joe: Retaliation’ Releases A First Movie Trailer
The 'G.I. Joe' Sequel Gets A New Trailer & A New Title
Back in August 2010, we learned that a sequel to G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra was being made and all year long we’ve been hearing casting news (HERE and HERE) and other updates (HERE and HERE) about the film. Today we get our first look at the first movie trailer for G.I. Joe: Retaliation (previously titled G.I. Joe: Cobra Strikes). As you can see below, the Joe team gets almost completely wiped out as the evil forces of Cobra infiltrate the US government. A ragtag group of surviving Joes (seemingly led by Roadblock, played by Dwayne The Rock Johnson) must fight back to save the world. Check out the trailer in full below.
OK … I’m in. The storyline of this film looks very much like one from the classic 80′s cartoon G.I. Joe. I love the image of the Cobra flags being hoisted and unfurled at the White House. While I feel this trailer needs a lot more Channing Tatum as Duke, I’m down with The Rock‘s Roadblock character being heavily featured. Adrienne Palicki as Lady Jaye is a great idea … I’m sold! I really loved the first G.I. Joe film … and I’m thinkin’ I might be loving this sequel film, too.

i totally agree..needs more channing. odds are he’ll be featured more in another trailer. the rock is a perfect fit as a GI but i hate the everyone but duke is gone.
cant wait for next summer, this movie looks like its going to be bad ass.
OMG! Why do I get the distinct feeling that Duke is offed in the initial attack after watching this trailer?!
What an awful notion!
