Andrew Garfield Hangs Around The Set Of ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’
Stunt Man

Filming is, apparently, still underway on the LA set of the upcoming reboot film The Amazing Spider-Man. Star Andrew Garfield, who will portray protagonist hero Peter Parker/Spider-Man in the rebooted film franchise, was spotted hanging from a safety wire as he filmed new scenes for the movie. It’s not very common to see lead actor’s do their own stunts but, well, I guess Andrew is just cool enough to be that kind of actor. Check out the fun photos below.

Very few actors are as brave as Andrew Garfield. The 28-year-old star decided to do his own stunts while filming scenes for his upcoming superhero movie, The Amazing Spider-Man, today in Los Angeles. Wearing a simple ensemble of jeans, a dark jacket, trainers and a T-shirt, the handsome Brit twisted and turned mid-air. He was hanging from a wire to perform a stunt where he avoids getting hit by a car and then proceeds to climb a lamppost. And it appeared that Peter Parker was multi-tasking as Andrew was seen with earphones in while performing the stunts. It was amazing how he appeared to levitate and how inconspicuous the wire holding him up appeared. The film’s director, Marc Webb, has spoken about how the 3D effects of the film will make Garfield’s spider skills all the more authentic. ‘There’s an experiential component to 3D that’s really fantastic and we’re experimenting with generating that point of view so you feel how Spider-Man feels when he’s jumping over these buildings,’ Webb told TotalFilm. He added: ‘We made a conscious effort to do those effects practically and we had an incredible stunt team.’

Hee hee … these are cute pics. As much as I *still* do not think the world needs an entirely new Spider-Man film franchise so soon after the last one, I really think Andrew will make a great Spider-Man. The guy is just wholesomely charming … perfect to play a mild-mannered hero. It actually looks like Andrew is having fun hanging around … most stunt work looks dangerous and scary. It kinda seems like they’ve been filming this movie FOREVER but … it sounds like they really want to get this reboot right.
