Earlier this month we learned of a ridiculous lawsuit that was leveled against popstar Justin Bieber that claimed he was father of a young woman’s baby. Right out of the gate, The Biebs refuted the allegation and even reportedly vowed to submit to a DNA test to prove that he was not the father of anyone’s baby. It would seem that the steam has run out of that ridic lawsuit because the case has been dismissed. After the woman’s lawyers decided not to work for her anymore, the decision was made to drop the paternity suit against Bieber.
Justin Bieber’s baby mama has dismissed her paternity lawsuit against the singer … TMZ has learned. The suit was quietly dismissed late last week. What’s more, Mariah Yeater’s lawyers, Lance Rogers and Matt Pare, have quit her … withdrawn from the case. As we first reported, Justin not only planned to take a DNA test when he returned to the U.S., he was going to sue Yeater and her lawyers for making a bogus claim. And, as we reported, Justin’s lawyer, Howard Weitzman, called the attorneys and informed them a suit was looming. Apparently, they got the message.
I mean … duh. Who didn’t see this coming? I’m not sure what the end game was but once Bieber reportedly agreed to submit to a DNA test, this crazy chick had to know the jig was up. I’m not sure what will happen from here. I have no doubt that the woman who made this claim made A LOT of money for selling her story. It’s totally sad that someone could make up a story like this, profit from it and then suffer no consequences. It’s possible that Bieber‘s legal team won’t sue her so … she could get off scott free. Still … this silly story was really entertaining for a couple of weeks … at least there’s that ;)

OMG that woman should get in trouble for her false paternity claims. First trying to pin it on her ex (and then beating him up or whatever) and then Justin Bieber. I mean seriously, what kinda idiot sits at home and concocts a story like “I took Bieber’s V card in a bathroom at a concert and got knocked up”. Please jeeeesus let child protective services take her child away from her and give him to a good home, cause the poor kid otherwise will spend a lifetime in Crazyville if he’s stuck with her as his mom!
I hope they do sue her because she should not get to keep any of the money that she earned from her lies. I’m not saying that they should take everything from her because she has a baby to raise – but this should be a lesson to everyone who thinks about doing this sort of thing to people!

Either she dropped the suit, or she was paid to shut up. Father or not the father, these kinds of idiots always walk away with some money.

I hope, if this was all a scam, that she knows who the real father of the baby is. Whether or not Beiber is the father does not matter to me, but what matters to me is will the child even have some sort of a father figure now?

Apparently she has a new legal team. From Radar:
“I did not step down and there is a legal team. It’s a new legal team. In light of death threats against my client, strategies have been reviewed…the San Diego team has been replaced by John Carlson from Los Angeles,” Jeffrey Leving, a Chicago paternity attorney who took on Yeater as a client, explained over the phone with WGNtv in Chicago.
“She believes Justin Bieber is the father. Right now there’s no more interviews for Mariah Yeater, I’m not going to allow that. Secondly, negotiations are going on right now with Bieber’s counsel and we’re trying to negotiate a private, secure DNA test with the same safe guards that would exist if there were a court order, but without a court order.
“The case is completely out of control and I don’t want something terrible to happen to my client or her child.”
While it’s still unclear whether or not Yeater’s case is still technically active, Leving said he hopes he won’t have to file a new lawsuit.
“My goal is that when the DNA test is completed, which I believe it will be…my goal is to keep everything confidential so the results will remain confidential,” he said.
Why am I not surprised she got death threats.

I just hope that baby is okay. People who do worse then lie get to keep their children, but I would hope someone would at least investigate that this child isn’t in any danger since the woman in question is either a)crazy or b)looking to get paid by any means.
According to People.com this woman still wants Justin to submit to a DNA test. She said so after obtaining a new lawyer. However she is no longer wanting to deal with the situation in court. She still believes that Justin is the father of her baby. Her new lawyer says the reason for dealing with the case out of court is due to the fact that the case has gotten out of control since it has leaked to the public. Her lawyer says that this woman (whom I do not believe a word of) says she’s getting death threats and fears for her safety. Is this girl insane or is it just me? She will NEVER see the kind of money she wants for her child and that’s why she is making such a stupid claim against one of the biggest pop stars in the world right now. Money doesn’t always buy happiness, but she’s hoping it does. I hope she goes away and Justin can get on with his life.

Ugh, I’m neither a Beiblever or anti Justin Bieber agent because face it his market is 12 year old tweens. but I think this is a sad case all around for the baby and for a popstar who was stageparented into these kind of overexposing ordeals. best of luck to the truth
